IRVING, Texas – Dallas Cowboys safety Jakar Hamilton can return to meetings and practice this week now that his four-game suspension for violating the NFL’s substance-abuse policy is over. Hamilton said his suspension came about because he failed to show up for a test, not for failing a test. In the policy, a missed test is considered the same as failing a test. Under terms of the substance abuse policy, Hamilton was allowed to work out at the Cowboys’ Valley Ranch facility, but he could not attend meetings, practices or games.
