IRVING, Texas -- The Dallas Cowboys are expected to be without safety Jeff Heath and defensive lineman Jack Crawford on Thursday against the Philadelphia Eagles because of upcoming thumb surgeries. Heath and Crawford are scheduled to each have surgery on Tuesday morning, but the injuries are not expected to be season-ending. Heath would not rule out playing Thursday but admitted it is a long shot. Crawford's absence would open up a spot on the defensive line for Terrell McClain or Josh Brent to play against the Eagles.
