IRVING, Texas – The Dallas Cowboys’ hope is that Tony Romo will be ready to participate in organized team activities in the spring after undergoing back surgery Friday, owner/general manager Jerry Jones said. Romo missed all of the Cowboys’ offseason work this year after undergoing surgery to remove a cyst in his back that Jones said is unrelated to the injury he had repaired Friday. “My expectation is that one of the pluses for having had it done as early as this morning is that it would really contribute to him being able to get right there when it comes time for the team to be in OTAs and do the preparation, the beginning of the preparation for next year,” Jones said on 105.
