LOL, it's not out of context at all.

I've seen the full clip. Context doesn't change what he said last week. It was stupid and unnecessary but utterly predictable from Jerry. And the proof is that a few days later, Jerry is back in front of the mics trying to walk back, "soften" his earlier comments.

Jerry should learn the value of the unexpressed thought.
Ceedee is UNDER contract for 18 mil this year, the question was in context of preseason where Ceedee's presence wasn't required because he's not playing in preseason game anyway....Hence no rush to get a new contract done

Come week one, new contract or NOT, Ceedee will be there at practice for week one against Cleveland because he's not losing out on a game check....

Much ado about NOTHING as the media does for clicks and fans buy into the nonsnese

Much ado about nothing? LOL.

Except for the part where Lamb removes all references to the Cowboys on social media and then Jerry has to scramble in front of the camera again and essentially walk back his previous comments. If this is nothing, Jerry isn't going back out there to soften his previous comments. But he did. Why? Because he knows he screwed up.

Not wise to walk back his initial statement. Look at the facts. Lamb is under contract this season, and there are a pair of franchise tags waiting to be used if necessary. Whether Lamb likes it or not, he's tied to Dallas for at least the next three seasons.

This means the FO has 3 seasons to decide whether to extend or trade him. He's in no rush because there is no rush. If these guys want to hold out, let them. This squad is in no danger of winning a championship this season and the only ones taking the hit are the players.

Jerry made the same comments with regards to Zeke's holdout, Lamb acting like he did in the Green Bay PLayoff game, not running his routes, pouting and sulking on the sidelines, Ceedee removing references to Cowboys on social media proving what he actually is, a petulant child....

Jerry was wrong when he said it with Elliott (and his dopey son also said some dumb things publicly) too. How many GMs go out there and just ramble off about this stuff? Not many.

Jerry said something dumb, it caught the attention of the player and some others and then he had to walk back out there and try to soften his initial comments. Again, Jerry isn't doing that if he thinks he was right in what he initially said. That's not Jerry. The fact he tried to change the narrative with a second comment pretty much shows he knows he screwed up.

Jerry needs to learn the value of an unexpressed thought. There was no need to say what he said a week ago. Just give standard answers on this stuff. Instead, his mouth got him into hot water and that's not the first and definitely not the last time this will happen.

That is exactly why the media loves talking to Jerry and Jerry loves the attention, even if it's for the wrong reasons. It's part of the business model, you don't have to win or be successful on the field, just be newsworthy and grab attention, generate drama. It's become a reality show or an extension of social media, say or do something outrageous, give a hot take to get clicks. Jerry was made for this era, he's a walking and talking meme.

Are you seriously putting stock in the common, and completely stupid BS posturing, move of removing social media references?

Really?

This is so weird!!! In the end Ceedee we can't wait to hear that you signed, and in about 3 or so years we'll be in here complaining that Jerry overpaid for you!!
I enjoyed this post.
