I cant see us not resigning him unless someone takes a big gamble and signs him for a decent sized contract

Durants future with the Cowboys is really simple - his $$$$$ demands. If he prices himself out of what we can sign him for he is gone. I hope he returns. But I always look at players like him with the draft in mind. Signing Durant saves a draft pick needed to replace him.

I might disagree there. I think it saves you from maybe a 1st or 2nd round pick. But I think this team would still draft a linebacker and I think they should. You can never have enough and it seems like the only ones who can stay healthy are Wilber and Hitchens.

But I do agree about the money part. He's a nice cheap band aid to a wound that someday will need to be repaired. But as of right now i'm convinced he can give us 1 or 2 more solid years.
