She'll sign the settlement.

I think that's very disrespectful and I doubt Terry Glenn likes to be called that.

In fact, I bet you wouldn't call him that to his face.

I think you should call him by his name and not some derogatory one.

I don't think Jerry is being short sighted about this. It's just business. And there is nothing new here. Both sides and the rest of the world know that TG is at significant risk not to make it thru the playoffs.

Haha you know what... right after I posted that in this thread, I just KNEW someone would reference that.

I spend too much time here... I'm starting to see posts coming a mile away now.

he'd be in miami by week 2 or whenever he's not guaranteed.

Not if he wants to contribute on a Super Bowl-winning team, which was is main reason for opting out of microfracture surgery to begin with.

I think a contract will be worked out. Glenn doesn't want to leave, and we are quite shallow at receiver. Better to keep him in. He knows the system and has gotten reps with Romo. I will be quite worried if we start the season with Crayton as a full time #2 again. It's not only that Crayton made mistakes, it's that his mistakes had devastating impacts on the outcome of games (including the biggest one of the season). Plus, he won't shut his mouth.

Is this a common practice to do interviews by text messaging?

I assume the reporter called, left a message on Terry's phone and he just text messaged back.

I doubt it was much of an interview probabaly just one text back and forth.

ESPN: "Can you comment on..."

TG: "I Should have seen it coming."

They probably just wanted a quick statement.

I don't see why not. It's a quick way to communicate, and it probably makes some of the more media shy players feel more comfortable. This is the second time I have read an article where he commentend "via text message". Times are changing.

..that Dallas has let it go this far as far as not taking some action to cover themselves incase TG goes down.

I thought they went above and beyond letting him remain active all last season and not instead signing somebody to the active roster to replace him back in '07.

ANd he got paid in full and never played.

Dallas can't do that again this year.

I've just never seen Dallas do this with any player in 45+ years of being a fan.

The only thing that comes close was when Dallas first signed Deion Sanders and paid him for a 16 game season but he was only playing about 12 or so because of baseball playing into October.

Other than that, players get paid for playing, not paid for trying.

Either you can play or you can't. And if you are injured, you get a year to show you are going to play again the following year, rarely more. Otherwise it's called a 'career-ending injury' and that's were it goes.

If he can play, put him on the field and let's see it and pay him accordingly and end the drama.

If he can't play, or can't play but 20% of the snaps..then you either let him go or you protect yourself with an injury clause like this or you cut him and then offer him an incentive deal based on him reaching incentives.

But you can't get paid AND guarranteed a full salary from the team and yet not guarantee he is 100% healthy to play. Dallas could just have easily put him on IR last year. But they didn't.

TG had his cake and ate it too in '07. But that stops now.

Thank you Cowboys. there really has been a string of poor decisions with signing TG right from the first and to continue was just going to run things right into the ditch.

I was beginning to wonder who was making the decisions anymore and why they were setting presidents no other teams would follow in the way TG has been handled since last year.

I'd like him to come back and light up the league next year, but I just don't think it's going to happen after two knee ops in one year and especially with the de-gen knee condition he's sporting.

He's an IR waiting to happen. Again.

Glenn was catching passes for Romo prior to the OTAs. Were the Cowboys liable for an injury during those practices?
