News: ESPN: Lavar Edwards missing first practice

IRVING, Texas -- Dallas Cowboys defensive end Lavar Edwards is not practicing on Friday because of a knee injury, but safety C.J. Spillman returned to practice for the first time this week. Edwards was limited in Thursday’s practice because of swelling in a knee that required an arthroscopy last spring while he was with the Titans. He had an MRI after practice. If Edwards can’t play, that could mean Jack Crawford would see his first action with the Cowboys.
