OXNARD, Calif. -- Dallas Cowboys second-round pick DeMarcus Lawrence left Tuesday’s practice early with a right ankle/foot injury suffered during pass rush drills. Lawrence was injured during pass rush drills and limped off to get examined before he was taken by cart to the locker room. He was scheduled to have an X-ray after practice. The Cowboys are looking for Lawrence to be a major part of their defense as a rookie, as he's contending with Jeremy Mincey for a starting position, “Hopefully it’ll be OK,” owner and general manager Jerry Jones said.
