How much tougher is it for offensive tackles on the road than at home?
"What?" Wade Phillips replied, drawing courtesy laughter from reporters.
Hearing the snap count away from the comforts of Cowboys Stadium is a serious issue for veteran left tackle Flozell Adams, though. Crowd noise can be especially problematic for Adams because he is partially deaf in his right ear.
Adams hasn't allowed a sack in four home games this season despite facing a few elite pass rushers. But he's allowed three sacks in the last two road games. Adams, who has seven penalties this season, was also flagged three times (two false starts, one hold) during the Cowboys' overtime win in Kansas City.
Phillips said the Cowboys have recently adjusted the way they call the snap counts for road games. The loud crowd at Lincoln Financial Field will present a tough test Sunday night.
