Golden the number 2 receiver in the draft? Longhorn fans tell me more?

I thought Matt Miller had Dallas connections. There is no way we take a tight end in the second round.

If Dallas is taking a TE in the first two rounds, just go all in on Warren.

But, I would rather traded down for Nolen or Harmond at DT if they were to fall into the 20's

In this mock Nolen drops to 24 and Harmond to 28

We could see a serious run on DTs and RB day 2.

Woof.

No thanks. Terrible.

That 2nd round pick is a howler. There's like 5 guys in the next 7-8 picks I'd rather have.

Really think they are going to take a 1st rd WR if they don't address it in fa.

They won’t take Burden or the Ohio state kid at 12. Don’t fit what the Cowboys usually like. Let’s see if McMillan falls. I need more information on Golden but there is smoke coming from his direction. I do think there will be a surprise receiver picked early. The Cowboys are blowing lots of smoke with the draft show picking a left tackle and the Cowboys passing on Jeanty for less valuable players. I will believe it when I see it. Pauline is trust worthy and he has a good source within the Cowboys organization.

You can't justify a 1st round WR if they again sit on their hands in FA. I get the logic behind it - Lamb needs a sidekick - but this team has nothing at TB and their DL could be in shambles with FA losses, etc.

If a good DT or DE is sitting there and you take a WR............. whew boy.

Pauline said somewhere within the 1st two rounds. We know T-Mac is the top receiver, question is how do the Cowboys view Burden, Ebuka & Golden? Voch has Golden as a 1st rd player, Broaddus I believe views him as his top 2nd rd receiver. Both have the other two as 1st rd prospects.

I want to wait until we see what they do in free agency before I decide who the Cowboys will draft but if you follow the money they need to draft a receiver and bring in two backs. The free agent class is not worth the squeeze at running back and receiver. That is why I think Pauline received good information.

  I seriously doubt they have started working on their draft. They are putting the coaching staff together......... still have to prepare for free agency.
I agree. Supposedly teams don’t start putting their boards together until March but follow the money. The wide receivers and running backs that are available in free agency will be overpaid. As good as Higgins is he is not worth 30 million. Cooper and Diggs won’t be cheap either. The running back free agents are dog poop. From a financial standpoint the Cowboys need to take care of those positions through the draft. Drafting a left tackle makes no sense when you drafted two in the last three years in the first round.

Let's see...
** I agree free agent RBs could make more money than in previous seasons ( thanks to Barkley ). It's a copycat league and I'm sure many teams will lean more on their running game. The question is will that devalue the WR market a bit? Whether or not he's worth it, I think Higgins gets at least $35M, especially with a weak crop in the draft.
** Just me but I'm fine taking a blue chip T or G to replace Martin but it depends how the board falls.

Top need in all the drafts since Aikman left…QB. This draft…DT, QB, RB, OL. Build the trenches until we get a competent QB. It makes no difference if we get the top WR and TE in this draft, if your ultimate goal is winning a SB.

They don't get it on cowboyzone for some reason. It'll sure look good in October though
