I agree with a lot of what is being said here. McCarthy needs to go and he will be gone. The question is does he make it through the season. I question what he does all week as this team just looks horribly unprepared every time they step on the field. This offense is bland and stale. It reminds me of the Linehan offense that we were all so desperate to get out of town.

I question though if Dak really cares. He got what he wanted. He got that big contract. He can coast the rest of his career and be set for life. We weren't getting blown out in the past because Dak would turn it on when the other team had the game out of reach. He'd finish with 350 yards and 3 TD's and absolutely no shot of winning. He doesn't even do that anymore.

It's the perfect offense to match our archaic defensive scheme.

The same old, same old reigns supreme here and it because Jerry insists on familiarity and loyal "yes men".

MM and Zimmer will not be sought after commodities when they both have been put out to pasture.

Coach Jones's coaching tree is a shriveled up stump

I can’t stand SAS so I didn’t bother to check it out.

I guess my question is what happened? We had offense ranked top 5 last 2 years passing offense may have been 1 or 2
I know that the line is bad this year but I wasn’t impressed last year either

I mean Dak hasn’t played well that’s for sure but We couldn’t run last year either but we were better than the crap we’ve put out this year on the ground

But hey I’m board with taking McCarthy to the trash

The Cowboys are a DOS application and the rest of the league is A.I. ....We are so far out football scheme wise....nothing will change....and Zimmerman is our next coach...he fits jerrys "we take care of our guys approach" his "it's my team and I do what I want" talking points....We've become his Madden football team...

Teams still had to game plan to stop the run because the threat of a big play was still there with Pollard and he still averaged 4 ypc.. There’s no threat from the run so teams aren’t focusing more than an afterthought on it. Combine that with 2 rookie OL which is going to be tough anyway and teams are just teeing off on the pass rush!

Someone else said this...apologies to the poster...but the offense is a reflection of the limited skill set of our QB. Dak "likes" the intermediate/short pass with an occasional well-timed chunk play. Welp...Dak can't consistently execute unless he's hot...so the offense goes into a tank.

Scheme/meme...the problem is the personnel. Pick your lipstick and put it on this pig...but it ain't turning into a model. It's a pig.

And I might add to what you said he doesn't tuck and run even with nothing but yard in front of him. Business decision?

Our record and stats the past few years are inflated from when we played bad teams, weak NFC East, etc. We had a more talented roster than most teams even if still flawed but anytime we faced a winning team, let alone a playoff team we were below average in every aspect and were exposed. And lo and behold it shows up in the playoffs. That's why McCarthy being 12-5 these past 3 years in a row was a bunch of baloney.

Now that we have even less CB depth, DL depth, no RB, rookie OL, etc. our lack of innovative schemes/coaching is glaring. Not to mention that our HC can't even get us to have quality practices apparently. Smh

The offense appears to have been so dumbed down and simply vanilla that even opponents have it figured out. I like vanilla ice cream but not as my offense.

And even so we get so many penalties. Not to mention that the two “best “ players on offense are now fat and happy. Christmas came early.

Yup, on target
Garrett, Moore, now MM
All had to simplify the offense for Dak
MM has even cut the field in half for Dak
.....but opposing teams somehow catch on

How in hell is it hard to stop curl routes, CD going in motion and running a curl, runs up the middle and being ready to get your defense off the field quickly because the cowboys love to kick field goals

Throw whatever scheme, route concepts, etc out there and it just won’t matter. Until Jerry actually tries to upgrade the roster it won’t matter.

He is going to try to sell the world on a new OC next year instead of writing a check for a real RB and WR, hopefully someone on the OL too.
