PHILADELPHIA -- The Eagles' Michael Vick put an end to the suspense, at least for Sunday's game, as to who would start at quarterback against the Dallas Cowboys.

"I'm not playing this week," Vick said. "Not this week."

Vick pulled his hamstring in the first half of the Oct. 6 game against the New York Giants. He has been considered day-to-day by coach Chip Kelly and was active for Sunday's game against Tampa Bay. Before Thursday's practice, Kelly said he would not rule Vick out for the Dallas game.

Afterward, Vick ruled himself out. Nick Foles, who was named NFC Offensive Player of the Week for his performance against the Buccaneers, will make his second start of the season and eighth of his career.

Hamstring problems are a death knell for a QB like him. I would say he'll be a back up next year but he can sell tickets and he could have a good off season.

When he's good he's great. When he's bad he's so so. I don't like playing him although I admit he's dinged up a lot.

one of the most fragile/non-toughness QB's u will meet

They call him, Mr. Glass.

^^^Yeah i watch him miss games with most injuries other QB's play with.

Sometimes u have to make up phrases n words to describe punks.

I don't think of this as good news. I'd rather face a hobbled Vick than a healthy foles.

He's got a pretty good downfield arm, which is scary with Jackson. Foles is 5/7 with 4 td's in 20+ yard passes (in the air, not YAK).

Vick scares me more since there's always the threat of the 40yd run, Foles has a better arm but he's no dual threat and the Boys can focus on jamming the receivers up. Jackson is a speedster but he can be bullied pretty easily and that makes him check out at times, and i don't give a damn about Cooper but i do hope he gets his clock cleaned at least once. He won't have the game he had last year since Claiborne will be looking to erase that embarrassing day from his career. The only fear i have is Shady killing us for 180 and 2/3 tds which he is more than capable of doing.

lol

You don't watch him at all.. let's not lie to ourselves. If so, you'd know he takes more hard hits than any QB in the league and gets right up and keeps plugging most of the time.

What are all these injuries that he's missing games from that most other QB's would play through?
