Did Maclin get voted into the pro bowl already or something? Why does Mosely think he's going to be so unstopable?
No kidding. The guy is their clear cut #2 receiver and he has 2 more yards and 1 more TD on the year than Patrick Crayton, our #3 receiver.

He's a rookie who has only been starting for 4 games

more experience for the kid = bigger numbers

keep in mind that WR is one of the hardest positions to transition from collegeto the NFL and maclin is looking quite promising

I'll give u credit with Austin and his big numbers but most of those yards are due to POOR tackling by defenders...

And why again are the Cowboys are supposed to be scared of him? Because he's putting up mediocre numbers as a rookie?

Poor tackling is the result of the kid being fast and strong.

Mediocre number? If that's the case then sure... Like ur boy said crayton has less number than him so is he a mediocre player?

Did u watch the seahawks try to tackle Heard? U kno that MNF segment "cmon man" chris berman's was when 4 NFL players could not tackle Sam Heard (who?) when he was essentially surrounded in a corner

Are you scared of Crayton? No, you're not. So why are the Cowboys scared of Maclin?

The guy's last name is "Hurd," and we were talking about Miles Austin.

That's a whole lot of poor tackling going on. Let's just give Miles credit for being good at breaking tackles and good at gaining yards after the catch.

Patrick Crayton having mediocre numbers is the result of Austin having stellar numbers.

In games where Romo is prone to make mistakes, the RB's will most likely also be a much bigger factor. Expect a run pass ratio Sunday night of 60/40, with the 3 RB's exposing the undersized and less physical philly d. When Philly starts bringing heat to stop it, goodluck with Witten and Austin in your secondary.

Fine then. Don't be scared of maclin u will see that if given a chance the kid can make plays. Take a look at his college highlights and u will see what happens in space.

The "Hurd" play is relevant because it demonstrates how poor seattle's tackling was... I jus don't think Sheldon brown will miss many tackles on Austin Sunday night... Remmeber that hit on Reggie bush in the 06 playoffs? Yea

Seeing as how Reggie Bush plays for the Saints, I don't see how it's relevant.

The last memorable tackle I remember the Eagles put on any Cowboys player was the tackle where 2 eagles defender ripped off Witten's helmet to only have him run downfield for another 30 yards.

Keep tackling like that, Austin might get voted to the probowl early.

Well, what he did in college isn't what he's done in the NFL.

If only this were in English. Austin's huge games were against Atlanta and Kansas City, not Seattle, so I have why you're referencing the Seattle game in terms of poor tackling.

Asante samuel and Sheldon brown >>>>>>>>> any corners u have played this season

we blitz so much cuz we know our secondary can cover anyone... Plus with the addition of witherspoon we can definitely slow down Witten (who will defintely have a good game cuz TE always have big games on is and idk why)

I agree that the boys will attempt to run the ball Sunday, however, that will be very hard to do if the eagles put up points like they are definitely capable of. Also, we have pretty much shut down a few top RBs this season (deangelo Williams, b Jacobs, portis) all held under 100 yds

The Reggie bush hit is there to give an example of what Sheldon is capable of. He is defintely one of the best tackling corners in the NFL only behind Winfield in Minn

while we r on the topic of Austin... What great secondaries has he faced ? Atl? Sea? Kc? Seriously?

Just like when they covered the Oakland Raiders tight end and then he outran those great corners you have for about 80 yards.

The Reggie Bush hit is what Sheldon is capable of? Try talking about something that happened in the last 2 years, how about you look at some of the hits Newman and Scandrick have been laying and that's that they can do it this season.

If you're trying to claim that your secondary can actually tackle based off of something that happened in 06, I can claim Ware is gonna get to McNabb 6 times on Sunday, I mean... he was the sack leader in 08.

Also, Austin can only play whose on the schedule. Unlike the eagles who play top caliber teams every weekend (actually they have a weaker strength of schedule so far than the cowboys if I'm not mistaken), Austin can only perform agaisnst the people lined up across from him, and he has, every week he has started.

McNabb and the entire "young" and "scary" WR corpse of the Eagles was crushed by the Raiders, I don't think you can come up for an excuse for that.

I don't even know why I'm bothering to answer this, but even given that eagles may have one of the better secondaries we've faced the key matchup (as you so astutely pointed out) is BOTH of are tight ends against you LB's or nickel corner. We can run or pass easily out of that formation and I'm thinking the eagles have a hard to stopping it.

The Eagle haven't faced a running attack like the Boys'. The panthers had to give up running the ball because of Jake "picks" Delhomme, and I can't honestly believe you're bringing up Jacobs and Portis as elite rushers this year

This eagles team is just starting to gel

keep in mind that Jackson and maclin are only 22 and 21 years old respectively

they are only going to get better each and every week. Their offensive line has battled injuries all season long especially in the Oakland game when peters went down. Now that herremans is back, Stacy Andrews is playing much better due to finally learning the playbook, and peters is also getting better I believe that is what we saw on Sunday vs the giants. An oline capable of giving mcnabb Time to hit jackson deep and etc. This game will revolve around mcnabb and the offense.

If the eagles put up points early then the boys will need to throw and romo is prone to making mistakes against this eagles D

thats what we are counting on............
