Get this, guys... Mosley was just on 103.3 talking about our draft picks, and he said he talked to an AFC scouting director -- not hard to guess who it was, is it? -- and he said J. Williams was like their 119th best player, that Brewster was a reach, and that both OLBs were JAGs (his exact term, another tipoff as to who he talked to). This scouting direct supposedly said Bueller was our best pick, and Hamlin was okay. Mosley dismissed Smith, Mickens, and everyone else as if guys that far down weren't worth talking about.

And yes, Galloway asked him about Mickens because some people told him that was a good pick, and Mosley had no idea who he was.

It's just funny.

Again, if that was Ireland, tell him to come back and take Bobby Carpenter back to Miami.

I'll take Ciskowski's 2 4th rounders over his judgment every time.

I was shocked the Dolphins didn't take a pass rusher. I thought they would take one of the USC players, especially the one GB took.

Part of Dallas' drafting on Sunday, was aimed at cleaning up his share of the mess that was the 2006 and 2007 draft.

I had Mickens pegged as a third rounder with second round talent going into the draft. How does his board not go that far down?

Mosley didn't even know who Mickens was . . . . his draft board doesn't go down that far? Mickens was projected as a 3rd to 4th rounder.

Quite a few of his responses were uninformed.
Exactamundo.

Yep thats right, havent you heard 1st day drafted wr never ever miss. Ever.

In fact Troy Williamson, carlos rogers, mike williams and matt jones are coming on with galloway and mosley to talk about the succes they have had tearing up the league after being drafted in the first round.

So again, mosley is right, there is no chance the wr taken in the 1st round of this years draft are anything short of Hall of Famers...I mean mosley said so.

gotta go....bryant johnson and josh reed are calling.
That was very Jim Rome-ish. Funny, but Rome-ish.

He's almost gotten to the point where he's impossible to read.

He's been ESPN-isized.

:shatfan:

Throw it up there, see what sticks.

But as long as it's paying the bills, that's apparently all that matters these days.

Sleep well, hack sellout.

Wow 4th best WR corps, yeah OK

Kinda hard to put Miles Austin, Sam Hurd and Stanback ahead of anyone, Crayton is nothing special and Roy is a big ? at this point, who exactly are we better then at WR?

So they should put them behind a corps that includes two rookies, and no wr who has ever been a number one at any point in there career except maybe high school? The Giants at this point do not have a better group than the Cowboys.

Brett (Philadelphia): Matt, thanks in advance for the answer in your opinion, who has the best WR corops in the NFC and the NFC east?

Matt Mosley: In the NFC East:

1. Eagles
2. Giants
3. Commanders
4. Cowboys

I'm going to save this to e-mail to Mosley when the division finishes in the same exact order, only in reverse.

Sorry, Roy Williams is NOT a question mark. Anyone who thinks he is is crazy. He performed EVERY year he was in Detroit. If you doubt if Roy Williams will ever be a TO, then I have no complaints. But if you put him in an offense where he is not injured, and the #3 option in the passing game in an offense that he does not know, he is at worst a Santana Moss type of WR.

I don't care what he did at UT or in Detroit until he delivers for us he's proved nothing.
I know he can be good as a UT fan i've followed him for years but until he actually does something here i'm not going to sing his praises

Mosley is surrounded by the worst radio personality in the market in brian esteridge, who has never said a positive thing about the cowboys and then his mentor randy galloway, who does schtick, but the schtick is all negative.

I can tolerate galloway because deep down I dont think he is a d-bag, but mosely and esteridge are colossal D-bags. Esteridge is the reason I never listen to 103.3, irvin doesnt help either.

I am glad that everyone is on the Giants/Eagles bandwagon. To some, there are no expectations for the Cowboys like there were last year. Everyone was on our jock this time last year and no one talked about the Eagles and even the Giants even though they were just coming off of a championship.

The real telling thing in this chat is where he admits that personnel people he's talked to around the league thought we had a great second day.
He actually said this:
"But some national draft experts think the Cowboys had a fantastic second day. I'm not so sure."
If you scour most of the input out there, you'll see that some means about 10-15%. But they very well could be right!

Look I wasn't particularly thrilled with the draft myself, but I think it went a hell of alot better then most people are making it out to be.

I do agree with this...but would remove "a hell of a lot" :D

I also think our RB are heads and shoulders better than anyone else in the east. I mean come on the Giants lost perhaps their best overall RB in free agency. And seriously the WR core we rank dead last?!?! Give me a break

This really is in the eye of the beholder. Look how good (and close) these BEast RB units are!

Dallas = Barber, F Jones, Choice
Wash= Portis, Betts, Cartwright or Aldridge
NYG = Jacobs, Bradshaw, A Brown
Philly = Westbrook, McCoy, Booker

As for the WRs...Mosley must really hate RW2 to put us last. Don't see it.
