Simms out of the picture in Dallas?
September 2, 2008 9:59 AM

Posted by ESPN.com's Matt Mosley

For those of you who were busy observing Labor Day, the Baltimore Ravens held a quarterbacks tryout Monday that one longtime scout described as "The Gong Show." Cowboys fans have been interested in Chris Simms since he was at the University of Texas, but I'm told he had a rough workout. Stalwarts Todd Bouman and Joey Harrington also stopped by the non-televised event.

As I told you Sunday, the Cowboys will wait until after the Browns game to sign former Jets and Vikings quarterback Brooks Bollinger -- unless someone swoops in and grabs him. Offensive coordinator Jason Garrett is a Simms fan, but the club's personnel department may have a different opinion.

In other news, Cowboys defensive tackle Tank Johnson has switched from No. 66 to No. 95 because he "works 9 to 5."

I hope Tank is aware that some games start at 4pm and last three hours. Of course there is always the 8pm games. He had better extend those hours!

please dont take bollinger he has no upside,

If it is about upside, then neither guy is worth bringing to Dallas.

Did Mosley answer the question the title of his blog asked? I read it 3 times and still don't know.

Bollinger couldn't make the Vikings team as a third string Quarterback, but yet we're interested in him? Bummer for the Cowboys. :(

Can we trust the Vikings decision making? They think Jackson is a starting caliber QB right now. :laugh2:

So we are paying Jason Garrett $3 million per season and don't listen to him when it comes to opinions on quarterbacks?

I knew that crap bill jones said was hog wash so that fans wouldnt be upset with jerry. Jerry pays bill jones to say things like that. This is why i dont believe alot of the stuff said by. mickey and bill sometimes when it comes to whispers inside. Seems like their paid to say stuff and hide things from us fans.
