Micheal got Emmitt good there.

Just shut up already.

We know. You think the team is terrible.

I didn't hear Tony Dorsett dogging Troy Aikman from 1989-1991.

I love Michael, he is a homer and he is proud of it. My favorite cowboy of all time.

Hear hear
It is an abbreviation for "hear, all ye good people, hear what this brilliant and eloquent speaker has to say!"

This is a great point that no one else has touched on.

TD didnt get into sports media right after his playing days the way the 90s Cowboys did.

Also, there was no internet back then, and the media was not the paparazzi it is today.

In one other interesting development, Michael Irvin went on his Dallas radio show (ESPN 10.3.3) and said that Emmitt was starting to sound like former Giants running back Tiki Barber.

Wow... Emmitt is looking at things realistically and also trying to use his stance as a motivator for this team. He cares deeply for this organization and just wants to see success. Hopefully some see the truth between the lines...

That's an odd way for him to promote success in the organization. Wow.

No, I think he's on his high horse and doesn't want anyone outshining his greatness.

I think Emmitt is closer to the grating egomaniac who sold his touchdown footballs and denied the autograph requests of teammates than he is to being a selfless person that "just cares about the organization."

Love Emmitt for what he did on field for us, and gotta love Michael for being the homer he is. Watched NFL Network preview of season this afternoon with Deion, Faulk, Mooch, and Irvin - and Irvin was the truest homer ever saying we would go to SuperBowl against Diego, hehe!

Gotta love Mike. He bleeds Cowboys!

Emmitt has a point about leadership, although I do think people change and mature. Parcells kicked Emmitt and his Domino gang out of town because there was a bit of a leadership issue there potentially. Emmitt was a bit spoiled (and so were we all) to have had an Aikman who was such a consumate leader, but Aikman wasn't yanking Olinemen by the facemask his first season or even his second if I remember correctly. Takes a bit of success to give a person the chops to be leader sometimes.

Yeah, Emmitt does have an ego, but I guess he deserves one. Just tough to see him go against his team. Interesting that he says he texted Romo a bunch last year about demanding excellence, etc. Can't fault him for that, shows he cares, and maybe he is just disgusted at end result from last year. Hypocritically though, it wasn't exactly TO that was the consumate team guy and stepping up the most in the biggest games either, yet Emmitt constantly talks about replacing his production (also a fair point) but not about TO's shortcomings as a "winner" (what has TO done to get teams over the top - close but no cigar).

Why do I get the feeling that most people that are saying 7-9 are still bitter about Terrell Owens being let go. The Cowboys haven't been sub .500 since 2004. It's just a dumb prediction as this team has too much talent to only win 7 games.

Emmitt was rooting for the Cowboys on Monday Night when Santana Moss tore the house down, and when the Ravens tore the house down. Lol @ him not wanting the Cowboys to shine. People just have a hissy fit anytime somebody says Dallas will fail. Calm down
