ESPN Mosley: Tashard Choice to get the majority of the carries

I wonder if any teams in the NFL have forgotten the production Choice got against the Stealers last year, hmmm...:a-team:

I just picked him up and put him in my starting lineup in place of Fred Taylor. I hope he has a Pittsburgh type of performance in him tomorrow. It would be nice to use Barber as little as possible in the next two weeks....let him heal up completely and be at full strength for the post bye portion of the schedule...the same goes for Felix.

Cowboys running back Marion Barber is expected to play against the Broncos on Sunday, but it looks like Tashard Choice will get the majority of the carries. You can read my full report here.

Barber's made solid progress with his left quadriceps injury, but the Cowboys still have some uncertainty regarding how effective he'll be in Sunday's game. Since Choice has exhibited the ability to carry the load in the past -- he had 62 carries in the final four games of '08 -- the Cowboys don't mind leaning on him Sunday.

And in order to provide some insurance, the Cowboys signed running back Chauncey Washington off their practice squad Saturday and released safety Marvin White to make room for him. The Cowboys would like to get White back, but he'll have to clear waivers first.

The Cowboys haven't made it clear who will start at running back Sunday. I would expect for Choice to end up with at least 20 carries and for Barber to have fewer than 10.

:lmao: I hope he plays and plays well my fantasy team has suffered with Barber and Jones injuries

what's the point of even telling the media this?

Maybe Barber is actually 100% and Wade's fooling us ALL!

I would rather sit Barber if he is not going to be feature back. We did this last year when we was injured and he never returned the same. Just fear he is rushing back too soon, he is too important to this offense.

I kind of agree. I hope Barber isn't talking them into letting him play before he's really ready. With Felix out, we can't stand to lose him for several weeks.

But maybe Temo's right and Barber really is ready to go. :D

I think anyone with a half functional brain would have figured out pretty quickly that even if Barber played they'd give the majority of the snaps to Choice. I mean that's common sense. There is really nothing to try and hide or trick the Broncos with.

I'm glad I picked up Choice in both my fantasy leagues. :)

I don't get into all that. Choice is the man. Period. You didn't know? Keep watching and you'll eventually see the light too. I think you already see the light. You just have to get in a Bleu Star barb with your morning coffee to make your day complete. I understand. Enjoy the game. :p:

Yeah. You're probably right. I just played a 4 and a half hour game last night and my head is still cloudy. We got back to Pensacola at 5am and I just woke up sore as hell... Check this out. The game was for the LCFL Southern Conference Championship. Pensacola Lightning v. Birmingham Wildfire. Winner goes to Philly to play on Oct 31st. Winner in Philly goes to LA to play the Championship game in December.

End of regulation 13-13. College overtime rules kick in. After 7 OT we win 34-31. I have truly never played in anything that even closely rivals the emotional roller coaster from last night. We're going to Philly though!

That said, cut me a break. I was bashing many heads last night. ;)

Im not sure I buy into much of what Mosley has to say these days.
