Most didn't realize how good he was until we lost him, actually. Not a lot of people around here liked Kosier at the end of 07 and considered him the OL's weak link.

I remember a thread where some of us were calling Kosier the O-line's anchor and unsung rock, and the majority were... well... ":lmao2:"

He's important, but he's far from the anchor. We lose Flo this season, and Romo's blindside is as bad as Proctor last year and we're toast.

But I agree before last year Kosier was def. unsung.

By anchor I mean the grounded, solid, consistent guy that solidifies the rest of the line. It seems to be him. He's not the most valuable, Flozell is, and he's not the most important. I'd say Gurode is because of his ability to make all the calls. But Kosier seems to be the rock that holds it all together.

He's definitely Flozell's anchor at least. Put another guard next to Flo and he's just not the same. Flo nearly falls apart when he doesn't have a good guard next to him he relies on. He's been at his best when he played next to Larry Allen and Kosier.

In recent past we've seen some real clunkers at all positions its nice to finally have something to hold together.

It just galls me to no end that year after year after year the OL remains a liability that cannot get the short yardage first down or protect Romo when a good team brings the heat,,, and that's our STARTERS!

Free agency floats by with no OL upgrades then the draft comes along and this team decides to spend valuable mid-round picks on a developmental 3rd Qb and a kickoff specialist. *shakes head*

It really is sad that we have not put together a good o line draft prospect in a long while. This might be my number 1 thing to change next season. I think it might be time for flo to move to the other side of the line.

If Bennett and Witten only have 12 touchdowns between them, it'll be a disappointment.

I agree. I would expect at least one per game from the two of them, and frankly, I can envision each getting 10 touchdowns in this new offense.

is winston justice still on the roster :lmao:

And Peters is terrible is pass protection. Banta-Cain made him look silly. He's slow and Osi and Ware will abuse him.

After the first preseason game I am less concerned about OL depth.

Free and Holland played well. McQuistan and Proctor were solid. That was with may Oak starters playing until halftime.

What I am concerned about it DL esp at DE. Dixon and to a lesser extent Bowen were getting killed out there.

Mosely doesn't know jack about the Cowboys any more. Hes just your typical ESPN hype machine. McMahon, esp with his live blogs, is more thorough then Mosely was when he was here anyway.

MacMahon's picked up his game this year.

For whatever reason, Witten has never been a prolific red zone threat or scoring machine. I understand Mosely's reticence to predict a higher touchdown total.

I'm sure Osi and Ware may get a sack or two, but they're not going to "abuse" him.

One bad game in the start of preseason does not make a player terrible.

No, but the fact that he gave up 10 sacks last year does. It's not a snap judgement from a preseason game. It is the body of work he turned in last season.

Remember that group, because the crow is coming to the doubters.

Can you please tell John Clayton we will not miss Anthony Henry, and we did replace him.

M-I-k-e J-e-n-k-i-n-s

When he's shutting people down and taking balls to the house, I want to hear all the doubters.

The crickets are going to be out in force.

And for two seasons before the 08 season he gave up a total of 8 sacks, and wasn't flagged for a holding penalty at all in 06.

Look the dude is good, but if you guys want to blindly sip the haterade by all means continue.
