ESPN: Moss talking to Culpepper about teaming up again

Just saw it on the crawl on ESPN. Moss is telling Culpepper if there is a team that would take both, he'd go where Culpepper goes. Guess that puts the Boys out, if it is true. Places I could see it happen: Atlanta, Detroit, Jets, Minnesota, Buffalo, Baltimore, and Chicago. All of the mentioned teams need QBs and most need WRs, too. I can really see the fit in Chicago, but I don't think they would pull the trigger. The most-likely scenario would be the two re-uniting in Minnesota again.

But, I thought Moss wanted to go to a contender. I know rumors are a dime a dozen during this time, but speculating makes it fun.

Vikings won't give up on Jackson just yet. Not after he showed improvement at the end of the year.

But if true, this tells you Moss is ALLLL about the $ and not about winning.

I really don't know why anyone thought we were ever serious contenders in the Moss race.

No reputable source ever had anything other than mere self-speculation on it. And all signs from the Cowboys organization themselves have given signs that we have absolutely zero interest in making this move.

They were one game away from the playoffs. Moss would make them a contender. They have one of the best if not the best RB in the game.

..with the bridges being burned in Minnesota by both of them..

..that the Vikes want to go backwards in their future with those two guys.

I'm thinking this is just a couple of guys re-hashing old memories and having their comments taken out of context a bit.

Culpepper is about done and Randy still has a few roundups to attend.

Can't see Moss hitching his wagon to some team taking Dante, too.

I'm sure his agent just sent him a text message about IX-nay on the Culpepper stuff.

That report means nothing. Culpepper is washed up. He isn't going to decide Moss's ultimate destination, unless Culpepper is able to secure a back up job wherever Moss ends up.

Minny's not gonna dish out big time $ for another WR. Berrian got $42 million!!

They just wont do it.

Mike Tice isnt in Minnesota anymore and Childress had to deal with TO in Philly.

The coaching staff could probably make it work, it is just that Berrian just took up the Moss possibility they would have had.

I would love to see the Jets grab them both and beat up on New England twice this year.

Moss and/or his agent have been the ones trying to stir things up....it is the oldest trick in the book-----i.e. get as many "suitors" vying for you, whether true or make believe, and drive your market value up.

NE is calling his bluff, and we will see if all this is true. But I can't see any team desperate enough to give a 5 or 6 year contract and a huge SB to a 31 year old who is notorious for playing when he wants to and shutting it down when nothing is on the line or he is just not feeling loved.

It was a big mistake for Moss to have played with NE at a discount last year, that is why most agents are against this....now the rest of the NFL will wait til he gets desperate again and plays for another discount. NE is counting on this and thereby getting more bang for their buck.

Culpepper will be great again with a motivated Moss.

The funny thing about Culpepper is he always sucked. He just had Randy Moss.

I think Quincy Carter could've done what Culpepper did with Moss.

What a bizarre request. Has he watched Culpepper recently?

I'm not saying they will. You said that would mean Moss was all about the $ and not winning. I was just saying that would not say that at all. They were one game out of the playoffs last year and was on of the best teams in the 2nd half. Add a Moss with a Peterson and a pretty damn good D they would be contenders.

If Culpepper can still throw it high and far then it will work.

If Moss is even letting Culpepper affect his decision then you really have to question Moss's intelligence.

There is very little if any upside with Culpepper as your QB.

for what its worth... even if Moss is saying this... I dont believe he means it.... just playing the owners

Not a good d at all. first in run d. Last in pass d. That equals out to being very average. Im just saying.

T.Jackson will eventually be good but he has awful mechanics. He throws off his front foot all the time. He is benefiting from Min having no other qb. Him, Bollinger and whoever else. lol

I wish he (Moss) would hurry up and sign somewhere....i cant take anymore of these ridiculous rumors..............

Randy Moss isnt gonna commit career suicide like that....

the conversation probably went like this...

Culpepper : Wouldnt it be cool if we ended up on same team again?

Moss: hell yeah that would be cool...(turns head and rolls eyes)

Culpepper: Wonder if we could make it happen...?

Moss: Ill see what i can do.....( walks off laughing)

he can choose between whichever pro bowl QB he wants and hes gonna settle for Daunte........ha ha ha ha ha

Odds on Moss and Culpepper signing together anywhere...zilch.

Keep an eye out for Baltimore. Moss and Culpepper playing together again may have a very small chance of happening, but the Ravens could use Moss's explosiveness, and their QB situation is far from settled.
