hey did anyon else see the guy that was arrested when he was in high school. he was the one that they had a story about about six months ago. he lived in atlanta and played against calvin johson and completely shut him down every time. hes a cb. got arrested for "raping" a girl because he had just turned 18 and she was only 17. some other player turned him in. he faught it and got thrown in jail. a load of crap if you ask me. anyways does anyone know who im talking about.

yea i saw that story on espn... he was 17 the girl was 15 and gave him umm... what wont get be banned... ummmmm oral? ok and he was sentenced 10 years in jail because the girl was 15.. only 2 years younger than him.. so the guys still in jail even tho they changed the law

yeah thats it. dang it. a ten year sentnce. i was hoping it was like 3-5 yrs so we could sen a sevnth rounder his way in a couple years. oh well that does suck for him though

My wife was 16 when I was 18 and I could have been arrested at the time. I didn't even know that then. That law needs some common sense.

How about the one where the guy was 18 and the girl was 17...her parents said it was the "principle" of the thing and pressed charges....the end of the story is that they are now married and he is a now a registered child molester due to his in-laws.

Sometimes, you just have to use common sense. But then there is the fact that common sense, isn't common. And unfortunately in today's society, too many times, common sense is passed up for: The Letter Of the Law. Instead of the spirit of the law when passed.

I feel for the kid. He gets a BJ, and gets 10 years in jail, and screws up any hope of ever getting into the NFL.

That's a bunch of crap. Hell, my senior prom night (I was 19, my date was 15) I .. well you do the math. That girl may have only been 15, but she had a helluva lot more "experience" then me. It's BS that I could of got in trouble for that. Especially considering the fact I was so drunk that night I had to be carried out of the club (our "after party" was in mexico. I live on the border). I could of had 300+ witnesses say in court that I was way too drunk to even walk much less "Rape" anyone, yet that's what I could of ended up being charged with. Hell, if anything that ho raped me!


Anyway, that's a long story (more to it) and this isn't the place. I just think that law is BS. There needs to be extenuating (however you spell it) circumstances in some cases. Poor guy. His life ruined cuz of BS.

yea that was a huge story here ( in atlanta) he was supposed to be a star in the making....

But you make your bed, you lie in it.
They, him and 5 other guys, videotaped the whole evening. That was a huge mistake.

I wish him the best when he gets out. It's a shame
