I would actually rather have Brady playing against us. It's a potential Super Bowl matchup. While it is advantageous for us to play NE without Brady, in terms of winning the game, it's not an NFC game and it's not a division game and we all see how those kinds of games can sometime hurt you in tie breaker situations. I am not afraid of the NFC East. I think we can win our division outright. It's the Seattles, the Green Bays and the Arizona's I'm more worried about, in terms of how we get seated .

I would rather play NE at their best and understand what is in front of us, rather then weakened. They will learn more about us then we will learn about them, win or lose.

Of course it's a break. But that's the NFL. Suspensions and injuries aren't uncommon. Can't believe someone would write an entire article about this.

Well maybe NE is lucky that they won't have to face Greg Hardy!

Garapolo will be a handful regardless.

Cry me a river.
Let Mike tell it they won't have any problems seeing they're so superior to the least of us.

Phil Sheridan blogs for ESPN NFCE Philadelphia Eagles. In the article below he attempts (IMO whines) about how unfair it is the Cowboys will not have to face Brady but the rest of the division will.

http://espn.go.com/blog/nfceast/post/_/id/68338/tom-bradys-impact-on-nfc-east-race

PHILADELPHIA -- The debate in New England and elsewhere is whether Tom Brady's suspension is fair and what impact it will have on the AFC East race.

But what about the NFC East? The two divisions match up this year, which means each of the four teams in the AFC East plays each of the four teams in the NFC East during the season. The Dallas Cowboys, the defending NFC East champions, are scheduled to host the Patriots on Oct. 11.

That will be the fourth and final game of Brady’s suspension. There’s no getting around it. Brady’s absence gives the Cowboys a huge advantage in that game. And since the other three NFC East teams will have to play the Patriots with Brady, that gives Dallas a huge advantage in the NFC East race, as well.

Blah blah blah...

So the impact on the NFC East figures to be greater than the impact on the AFC East, even with Brady being unavailable for four games. The Patriots will likely be favored in two to three of those games: against Buffalo, Jacksonville and possibly Pittsburgh. Without Brady, they will likely be underdogs against Dallas.

Blah blah blah...

This year, thanks to the NFL, the Cowboys catch a break when they play the Patriots. The Eagles very likely catch a beating.

hahah, didnt see them complaining last season when we had to play 3 games in 12 days. Go figure

You mean like advantage the Eagles had last year playing all those backup QBs for that stretch of games? Or how about the first time we met, we were coming off a SNF road game?

They are idiots.

To be fair, the Eagles were playing with a back-up QB much of last year too, and the Cowboys got to face that back-up in the first match-up. Not defending Philly, but just laying out facts.

I'm not a real big fan of this type thinking that we want to play other teams at their best. If Brady misses the game and we beat the backup QB, it's a W and once play-off seedings take place 12 weeks later, no one will care how we got that win. The one and only stat that truly means anything in the NFL is W's. How you beat the other teams to get those W's means nothing. If Brady being out gives Dallas an advantage in making the play-offs I am all for it.

No, not really. Look at last year. We were seated behind Seattle even though we beat them head to head. They had more Conference wins then we did and that eventually ended up being the tie breakers. Because of that, we didn't get home field advantage. Out of Conference wins just don't mean as much as in conference or division games. I agree that it comes down to wins but I think we are going to be in the playoffs regardless. I would rather see how we stack up vs giving them they advantage of seeing what we have and devising a game plan against us in a Super Bowl matchup. NE is one of the very best ever at game planning when they have a few weeks to do it. That's just my opinion and I certainly understand yours. It does come down to wins.

So let me get this straight...

We'll be playing the Patriots without Brady, and they also lost Revis and Arrington this offseason? We're gonna beat them pretty easily. I'd think so even if they had Brady.
