Yeah, it's close. Frankly, I think it's a lot closer than the early voting on our Fired-up Friday poll indicates. I'm thinking maybe the Eagles fans all got to the poll first and the gap will close as Cowboys and Giants fans work to help their teams catch up. But when I look at the wide receiver groups in the NFC East and rank them, it goes like this.

1. Giants

2. Cowboys

3. Eagles

The Commanders really aren't even in the discussion, and that shouldn't offend anyone. These other three teams have receiving corps that rank among the best in football, and picking between them is probably nothing more than a matter of taste.

I don't have a problem with that, but I will say if Dez comes on like I think he can, we will move past them.

It's a close decision, but I think Miles/Dez are a talented enough tandem that they put us over the top in spite of the fact that Manningham is a better 3 than Roy.

I actually agree with the order but it's pretty close and if Dez plays to his potential this year, it's even closer. I think both the Giants and Cowboys easily have the best receiving corps in the East.

I like the Cowboys trio, and don't frankly think it's all that close. Nicks is a beast, though, for sure. And the Giants and the Eagles both do have really good WRs.

But when we throw in Witten and F Jones into the potential receiving weapons, I think we are better than the Giants.

If we're only going by only WR's then.. sure seems like the list is spot on, but if we include Jason Witten and the TE's in on this, then I think we clearly edge them out.

add in the TE and its cowboys all the way. If roy plays to his contract it would be us all the way.

Didn't the giants wr steve smith suffer a major injury? I do not know for sure so calm down.

guarantee we will be more explosive than the giants if both teams stays healthy. Nicks is a beast but we have to guys like him in Dez and Miles. People is forgetting the season miles was having when romo was healthy.

by the end of this season dez will be the best wr in the division and a top 5 nfl talent, he is too good not to explode.

I just pray that JG uses him early and often. He has as good a set of hands as anybody i have seen in years and body control that only Larry Fitz has in this league.

A genuine superstar on the field if he gets his head down right. Good thing is he LOVES football.

I watch a lot of Giants games and the Giant receivers drop the ball too much (not counting Steve Smith). Hopefully Miles will have a better year holding onto the ball.

I agree with this assessment. If we're talking WR corps and assuming they are all healthy, i have to go with the Giants. Nicks, Smith, and Manningham are just too good.

Its close though.

I'm trying to be objective here...But I really don't see how the Giants' WRs are better than ours.

Miles Austin > Steve Smith

Dez Bryant > Hakeem Knicks

Roy Williams < Mario Manningham

Although Austin had a somewhat disappointing follow up to his huge breakout season the year prior, I would still take Miles over Smith. And admittedly, Dez's potential also factors in to his comparison to Nicks for me, but I really don't think there will be anyone who won't place Dez above Hakeem after this season. I also think Roy can be better than Manningham as well, but I am going to give them the slight advantage here.

Yes they do

Are you kidding?? Hakeem is the best of em all followed by Miles... Hakeem bs Dez isn't even a discussion

and "still would take Miles over Smith? That's like debating taking 50,000 or 5,000 likes its a hard decision.. Not one person in the world besides Steve Smith's mother would take him over Miles.

This is how their WR corps is better than ours...

#1 Hakeem > #1 Miles
#2 Smith > #2 Williams
#3 ManningHam < #3 Dez

and even if you say Dez is our #2, which he isn't yet, Manningham still beats Roy, and their WR's under that beat our WR's under that. The guy they got in the 3rd has quite a bit of potential, and they still hold the rights to Plaxico and could keep him this year..

Nicks and Austin are close, but i would give the edge to Nicks.

Smith is better than Dez so far and Manningham is better than Roy.

Also, Romo is better than Eli.. so you have to factor that in.

This is right now of course based on production.. im not going to try to predict the future.

This division is LOADED at WR....at least everyone playing outside of washington. :D

A healthy Dez will put Dallas ahead of NY and Philly...but not yet. I also think Harris has a shot to help. Austin, Bryant, Willams, Harris could be very good....if they included TEs we would win.

But Nicks, Steve Smith, and Manningham make a strong and diverse trio for now.

Our opinions are so close in the football, and wrestling I find it odd :laugh1:

Hate the Giants but I have to admire their receiving corps. Hard call between the three of them much less the Boys and Giants.
