This would suck if true. Hope they find the person responsible.

Think of an opposing fan coming to Dallas and doing this to Bailey on a game winning FG attempt?

The NFL is attempting to shed light on who allegedly shined a laser pointer at Buffalo Billsplayers at Detroit's Ford Field last weekend.

League spokesman Michael Signora said the NFL is investigating the Bills' complaint and attempting to identify the person responsible. Quarterback Kyle Orton and holder Colton Schmidt saidthey had a laser directed at them duringBuffalo's 17-14 win over the Lions on Sunday.

2001: A Space Odessy is as deep as Star Wars: A New Hope (1977) is shallow.

2001 starts with a caveman wondering what he would do now that he has discovered fire....but he would think of something. The end is the astronaut lording over a world (Earth)...what will he do...but he will think of something.

With that background, technology has made us more powerful and at least a few of us use it for evil...those few many eventually make getting into a stadium like checking into a flight. :(

Been going on in soccer for years, in fact during the world cup in the summer the goal that knocked the Russians out was from a corner when the keeper came out for the ball and lost track of it due to someone shining a laser in his eye. Never really thought about it but surprised this is the first incident in the NFL

Green lasers I believe can be considered weapons considering the harm they can do to the eye itself.

Whoever did that is an idiot. I hope they are found. I'm not sure what you would charge them with.

Does anyone know?

Another thing that bugs the mess out of me I kept hearing a whistle every snap this weekend while we were playing the Texans.

That doesn't seem like a harsh punishment at all. I would think if you hit someone direct in their eye with that thing it could possibly damage their eye.

Per Adam Schefter:

The person accused of using a laser pointer at Sunday's Detroit Lions-Buffalo Bills game has been identified and effective immediately will be banned indefinitely from attending all future events at Ford Field, the Lions announced today.

The individual, who subsequently admitted using the laser pointer, also has been charged with a misdemeanor for Disorderly Conduct by the Detroit City Prosecutor’s Office.

The Lions also announced that that the Season Ticket Member whose ticket was used by the individual will have his season tickets revoked for the balance of the 2014 season.

The Lions are also close to signing kicker Matt Prater.
