ESPN: NFL Playoff Machine

What's funny is, if you choose the current defensive ranking as the criteria, we win the division with a 7-9 record.

As they say, defense wins championships. LOL.

Well this thing is good fun to play with, but I will use it to look at current playoff scenarios , and maybe 1 week in advance.

all I care about this week are three things (in this order):
1) Dallas wins; 2) Washington wins (kills me to type that); 3) Detroit wins

Next week:
1) Dallas wins Monday night (v.Wash); 2) Jets win; Patriots romp

if all of this happens, we are tied atop the division with 4 to play; note: would be tied with NYG and WASH with philly a game back

A very possible scenario...especially next week.

If the Cowboys are on top in two weeks, Katie bar the door...

I did one where we finished 9-7 with NY with their two losses coming to MIN and CAR and we owned the tiebreaker.

My playoff picture:

NFC Byes: Arizona (14-2), Carolina (13-3)
Seattle (10-6) @ Green Bay (11-5)
Atlanta (11-5) @ Dallas (8-8)

AFC Byes: New England (15-1), Cincinnati (13-3)
NY Jets (9-7) @ Denver (12-4)
Kansas City (11-5) @ Indianapolis (10-6)

NFC East:
Dallas (8-8)
NY Giants (7-9)
Washington (6-10)
Philadelphia (6-10)

Not sure we can win the division and make the playoffs with only three wins out of 16
