Because it's their jobs to report the news first? How about the NFL doesn't take so long from the card going to the table to the announcement. There were times last year when another 5 minutes would go by after the card when to the table.

You're not really uncovering news when it's going to be announced to the world within 2 minutes. That's not what I would call groundbreaking journalism.

Good, I hate it when freaking Berman says "I bet it is X right here, he is on the phone in the waiting room"..............................Commish announces player X drafted 30 seconds later.

It's not his fault if the cameraman cuts to a guy on the phone. Berman is just doing his job. It's more annoying when people on CZ scour Twitter to know two minutes before the rest of us

I could care less if the selected player is called ahead of the actual pick.If you want to build the tension keep cameras out of war rooms and dont let the players answer their cell phones 2 minutes before its announced. those cell phone calls are a dead give away.

Jason La Canfora is the worst follow on Twitter before the draft, last year he was tweeting the picks at least 1 or 2 minutes maybe more before the TV coverage.

I just don't understand why people can't wait. And I don't understand the logic of these sports reporters. Do they think they're good journalists because they find out 90 seconds before Billy Joe in Arkansas?
