Orlando Scandrick's contract details

IRVING, Texas -- Orlando Scandrick’s contract numbers are in and the Dallas Cowboys’ cornerback will pocket $4.5 million more in 2015 and ’16 than he would have under his old deal with his one-year extension through 2019.

Scandrick received a $3 million signing bonus and will earn a $1 million base salary, which bumped his salary-cap figure up $100,000 to $4.451 million this year.

Interesting that they gave him 1.5m more this year (technically 2m more since he lost 500k by not showing up to OTAs, but whatever) and 2m more next year... but didn't really touch 2017, 2018, and the new 2019 is only 1m more than 2018.

If Scandrick continues to play well, this is all set up for him to hold out again in 2017. Of course he'll be 30 years old and 8 seasons into his career going into his 2017 season, so if he's still good at that point I'd say just trade him anyway.
