Giddy sportswriters are the worst. The headlines is about players wanting to get traded to Washington. The article has one line on that subject which is actually a repeat of the headline. No players wanted to be traded are mentioned as fact or as rumor. We just have to take the writer's word for it I guess.
Then, why is Daniels getting credit for the Hail Mary play? He through the ball up for grabs and someone deflected it into the hand of Noah Brown. It was pure luck not skill that made that play successful. If anything, Noah Brown should get the credit for being in position to catch the deflection after the Bears players failed to do their jobs.
I think Washington is definitely up and coming because their offense has been spectacular, even when Marcus Mariota had to take over for Daniels. The Commanders went "all in" in the offseason and built a team that is capable at a lot of positions and is playing with a lot of confidence right now. That have also had a fairly easy schedule.
I think the Commanders are a better football team than Dallas right now. But that can change quickly. Last year I warned not to anoint CJ Stroud so quickly. This year Stroud is struggling a little. I would suggest the same caution with the Commanders and Daniels. Dak looked great his rookie year too and the Cowboys won a lot of games.
