Golden St had 72 games missed by players. Top echelon teams like OKC had 190. Houston 145. Miami 172. Chicago 135. Spurs 134. Cleveland 115. Cavs missing their 2nd best player in Irving and 3rd in Kevin Love. Let's see how GS does without 2 of their top 3 players.
Like I said, the excuses are adorable.
Warriors also had the deepest bench in the league, which contributed to their starters' minutes being down and therefore being better equipped to stay healthy. Steph Curry sat out a ton of 4th quarters because they were up 20+ pts. Steve Kerr was the ultimate players' coach and ran VERY light practices to keep guys fresh.
I'll bet you didn't count David Lee as a starter in your numbers. He entered the season as a starter, got hurt, then was replaced permanently because Draymond Green was so good.
Again, deepest bench in the league.
LOL at Miami being included as a "top echelon team." When you miss the playoffs in the East, you barely count as an NBA team.
The ONLY team that had any shot at beating the Warriors was the Spurs. Once they were eliminated, it was over.
