on nfl live just now. they showed his stats, and he's been throw to 57 time the same as last yr at this point of the season, and said he's showing patience and now knows that when he's doubled the team has to go elsewhere. that he's now showing maturity. and thats a good thing for the cowboys.

I agree with their assessment of TO. He has matured quite a bit, he uses words like "we" "patience" and he understands that when he is double teamed, the team must go to other options.

He is saying all the things and he understands that this is a team effort and he knows he can't win the game by himself, I think.

You must have watched the wrong channel. ESPN hates the Cowboys. Or maybe they took another look at their ratings and decided they need an attitude adjustment re the NFL's #1 draw.

It amazes me that Jerry unable to get a deal with the NFL that would allow him to deny any network the opportunity to broadcast Cowboy games w/o his expressed approval. Would that tie ESPN in a twist.

Then they reported you know what has frozen over. :laugh1:

ESPN probably watched Shangos comments the other night and realized they needed to do something look a little balanced.....

Hey, it only took him what, ten years to figure it out?:D :D
Yup, it took him awhile and I hope he believes what he says.

they also brought back the drops statistic and guess who they said is leading the nfl

Yeah, according to ESPN, he has 7 drops this year, leading the league.

i wonder how many touches he had in philly at this point,i bet many,he plays thru doubles, his strength is getting open when the pocket breaks and the west coast offense.i think he need to get more slants and such.he needs the ball period.

We can talk about his drops, his presence, his phenominal athletic ability, his work ethic and how he changed to the cows come home....

Bottom line: We dont use him the way San Fran and Philly did.
I know, I know... the WCO.....

BUT STILL....

we dont use high percentage/big gainer T.O. plays.
We are wasting what is left in his 30+ year old body.

It boggles my mind.

Santana Moss!!! He's dropped a rack of passes so far this year. Hell, he even took himself out the game against the Packers...

I agree, keep hearing about getting him more involved the game, etc...
Granted, he does drop alot of what is thrown his way, he's still our best WR and you have to keep going to him.

Kinda reminds me of something else I've heard over the years about moving RW closer to the LOS. :lmao2:

"he does drop ALOT of what is thrown his way"?? :D

He will average about a drop a game or less on the season.

The "statisticians" will credit him with a drop no matter what in some casese. ie. last years total.

He has how many now? 7 ? take one away from the "statistician" and he is on his regular pace more or less.. a drop a game..

Hey... I dont like the drops anymore than you do.... you exaggerated just a little

I think we should use him in a more versatile fashion more often, e.g. more slants, etc. But I don't think you can focus on him more than we already are. You can't throw every freakin pass to Owens.

If he had caught two thirds of the passes he has dropped his stats would be even better than they are. Plus one of his passes for good yardage was called back because of a penalty he himself was called for. Don't forget that he had two catches that should have been called force outs but weren't.

He's getting enough balls thrown his way but drops, penalties and non-calls have worked against him.
