ESPN just pulled announcer Robert Lee off the UVA game in Charlottesville because they are concerned his name will offend viewers.

As if this wasn't incomprehensibly stupid enough....Robert Lee is Asian.

Yeah, that's where we are.

Soon, the national anthem will be outlawed, and Civil War history will be deemed too traumatic to teach in history classas.

People need to grow up.

You weren't aware there was an Asian regiment in the Civil War? Jeesh go study a history book or 2.

We are dealing with a fascinating branch of sociology.

We shouldn't get in the way of Disney destroying itself.

Good ole ESPN pulling a play from the Onion Sports playbook.
Ha, that's exactly how it reads.

Since he's Asian, couldn't they just pretend his real first Ching or Sung or something? That's probably not quite as offensive to him personally as this.

To totally steal the idea from Iowahawk, what current sports announcer do you hope shares their name with a confederate general.

I'd prefer they outlaw the National Anthem during sporting events..

Who wants another event like this

ESPN needs to keep politics out of sports....and they're wondering why they are losing viewers. Except for live sports ( and probably only when my team's on )I am so done with them.
