ESPN: Roy Williams Released

Finally. What a horrible trade that was. Williams will go down as one of the biggest failures by Jerry Jones.

I would go after Lance Moore or Malcom Floyd.

Galloway is still by far the worst one.

They are going to have to go out and sign a legitimate veteran WR that can fill in for Austin or Dez in case of injury.

I'd take Derrick Mason

At one point I was convinced Ogletree would end up the #3. I hope he can reestablish himself and get into the mix for the sopt once again.

Wow. I have to say i'm surprised by this. Hopefully this Duane Harris kid is a gem because the other WRs behind Dez/Miles dont excite me much at all.

I do not think so .....

Jerry is no longer the GM of this club? Must've missed the memo. No doubt Garrett has input, but Jerry will always have the final say. Just think: it only took him 2.5 years to own up to his mistake. I would have bet 3.5.

none so blind as will not see. Very few rookie WRs - even highly drafted ones- do much their first year or two. Hurd has not gotten it done when given the chance.

That was more a shot at Roy's production then me trying to talk up any of those players. Go out and catch 2 balls for 15 yards and you'll match an average Roy week. I'm not to worried about replacing that even with what we do have on the roster already

Ok, but you have to go start a thread in the "Told You So" zone.

I disagree. Galloway was back in Jerry's ego-maniac days. Roy Williams was supposed to be the reasonable and "educated" Jerry Jones. At least Dallas got Keyshawn for Galloway.

Are all of the people panicked over ESPN reporting we're doomed by the cap starting to get the picture yet?

The cap isn't even an issue. Jerry will sign anybody he wants.

This sums up his stay with the Boys'......

This has JG written all over it, he is officially in charge.
Like the move.

There was a report a few weeks ago from Mosely saying that Huff isn't an automatic signing for the Cowboys because one voice in the organization, in particular, doesn't like former Longhorns.

I'm beginning to think it's Garrett.

Regardless, no doubt both Bigg and RW releases are about improving the lockerroom culture as much as money situations. Not that they were necessarily head cases, it's just doesn't set a good tone in the lockerroom when two of the highest paid veterans are lethargic underachievers with poor attention to detail.

Steve Smith is looking to move somewhere...

Good move for the team, he never fit in anyway.

Told you guys the media was pumping for a while now that he'd be gone.

Me too. About four hours ago. There was no way we were going to keep him at that salary.

I was rough on Garrett last year and thought he should not have been named HC. But after he was, I supported him as any fan should.

This move has his thumb print all over it and I am really liking the decision more and more. Go Redball!
