Steelers take down Cowboys in defensive battle
• WR Terrell Owens was nearly nonexistent, despite one touchdown on a play where the Steelers rushed only their three-man front and QB Tony Romo bought an incredible amount of time for himself. CB Ike Taylor not only limited Owens, but also snagged a first-half interception. The Steelers like keeping the tall, angular Taylor on their opponent's best receiver and he has come up big over and over.
• He isn't Marion Barber, but rookie RB Tashard Choice was impressive. He wasn't a major liability in pass protection and played extremely hard. Although running room was extremely sparse against the Steelers' exceptional defense, Choice got downhill very quickly and showed he is capable of breaking arm tackles and pushing the pile. He also contributed as an outlet receiver and while he doesn't show a ton of side-to-side wiggle, he does see the field very well and doesn't dance with the ball in his hands. As well as their defense is playing, the Cowboys might be OK at the running back position if Barber misses more time down the stretch.
