Be sure to come back after the game on Sat. Lets see how good your def in the Wildcard game.

i think dallas' O is better than seattle- esp. with TO.

green 28's point is still valid- those ranking he pointed our are based on the season- not just the past few weeks. but i understand how you look at other teams like dallas and see great players in certain areas, so i give williams credit. a few months ago, the experts were saying the skins needed to fix the D line or the D was going nowhere. gibbs and williams brought in a bunch of D backs instead. seems to be working, especially the last few weeks.

they are damn good, so i have no problem with the skins being last ranked defensively. ;)

But logic would lead you to the following conclusion. Based on your assessment, your Def improved over the last month or so. If that is the case, it is just a matter of you having enough Def snaps with this new scheme before Offensive Coordinators have enough film to break down the weakness of the new scheme. Also, its the winners curse. The more your win, the better your opponent.

Green's 28 point is still not valid. The ESPN ranking is based off personnel, which you will admit, is lacking. The #8 ranking is based on other metrics. The best thing about your Def is the coordinator.

I'm giving Greg Williams the credit, because when I look at your D, I see 3 good players and alot of spares

but you're too dumb to acknowledge when credit is given, it's ok, I forgive you

This has to be flame right? I said to give our front seven credit, and you respond that you gave Gregg Williams credit. Our front seven != Gregg Williams. The whole point of my original post was that ESPN did not rate our players highly enough.

and I'm saying they aren't worthy of being ranked highly, cuz w/o Greg Williams, they are spares, well most of them are

Of course Dallas has the talent to bring home the 6th... It's going to boil down to who's more focused and who's will to win is greater!

I couldn't agree with you more. We won 13 of 16 games with a loss to the only undefeated team in the league, a loss to a div rival, and a 3rd loss in a TOTALLY MEANINGLESS game with alot of our key players out. Not to mention we won the EAST, earned a 1st Rd bye, and clinched HFA. Definately, we can win it all. No doubt!!!

Yeah Dallas let the New England game get out of hand because of mental mistakes!

Cowboys DL #5
5. Dallas Cowboys
The Cowboys use an aggressive 3-4 scheme led by three physical defenders up front. This defensive line can be imposing because all the players weigh more than 300 pounds and DE Chris Canty uses his 6-7 frame to gain leverage versus the run and disrupt the passing game. All three frontline players use their hands well to disengage the ball against the run and get opponents off balance against the pass. Their sack numbers aren't impressive, but they are stout against the run, giving up 92.1 yards per game. Most opponents have to get their rushing yards on the outside, since the middle of this defense is rock-solid.
Their DL's sack numbers aren't supposed to be impressive in a 3-4. Take '07's stats for instance:

In the 4-3, the majority of sacks are generated by the DL. It's the exact opposite in the 3-4. Dallas' DL should still be regarded as above average in regards to sacks since it finished tied #2 in sacks out of all 3-4 defenses.

Cowboys DBs #6
6. Dallas Cowboys
The addition of FS Ken Hamlin has been instrumental in the improvement of the Dallas pass defense. Hamlin has upgraded what was possibly the Cowboys' weakest position a year ago with a Pro Bowl-caliber performance. CB Terence Newman also ranks among the elite players at his position and is a special athlete. Anthony Henry is a fine second corner but sees a lot of action with Newman on the other side. SS Roy Williams is a liability in coverage but is a killer against the run and should stay near the line of scrimmage.
They forgot to mention our secret weapon Reeves.

I think after this weekend, they will all go back where they came from. Notice they didn't come out until last week.
