arrogance.Again, what an utterly bizarre hill for LSU to die on here. OK, you tried to get two NFL players on your roster. It didn't work. You got A LOT of pushback from not only the league office but members of your own conference AND other conferences and teams. PR wise, most pundits and reporters also said this is a bridge too far. There is really no one, outside of LSU fans, that think this is a good idea or justifiable.
So pack it up and go home. You tried, it didn't work. Oh well. Why Kiffin and LSU continue to want to fight this is wild to me.
Quote makes it sound like Chris Canty is siding with the SEC, which makes me respect him more given he’s an LSU grad. Too many people in this country just go along with whatever the party line is, scared to make an unpopular decision.SEC files amendment for authority to expel LSU from conference

Two year suspension from playoffs sounds good to meI hope SEC doesnt do it but what i suspect will happen is some stiff fines and suspension of Kiffin and even a playoff suspension is on the cards.
a few here like Terrel and such will scream at the idea of another major independentLooks like LSU packed it up and moved on............ at least for now.
The weird thing is that at the time, many LSU alums including notable and famous former players, didn't want this but then circled the wagons when Kiffin did it anyway.
What a joke that fanbase is. I got a really good chuckle out of them claiming that it would be OK if the SEC kicked them out because they'd be able to survive as an independent. OK.
It doesn’t work like that in any other sport. College basketball is similar and once you sign a NBA contract you are done.NCAA players are being paid. How's that different from being a pro? College football is the minor league of the NFL. If a guy doesn't make an NFL roster, why shouldn't he go back to the minors like baseball players do? The NCAA should just drop the pretense and admit what they really are.
