News: ESPN: Sources: Browns, Rams finalizing Myles Garrett blockbuster trade

No one is excusing Jerry. Not even the diehards. But does it need to be interjected into every post? Lol. We all already know what the main issue is.
Only as long as he’s still in place. Pretending the “main issue” is not an issue is disingenuous.

The price was 2 first round picks
Don’t change the narrative for your agenda
Wrong. And it’s pretty stupid and insulting for you to even mention an agenda. That was my first response and I never have arguments with anyone.

A team can hold out for two first round picks and maybe would for their QB, but any team interested in Pickens could have offered anything to Dallas, even a second round pick, and Dallas could agree to it. Stephen said more than once that no one even called about Pickens.

So, there’s no agenda. I hope we sign him to a long deal, but the franchise tag gives the team the right to two first round picks, but if another team said, we will give you a first, the tagging team can agree to it. I’m guessing most NFL teams want exactly what Dallas wants, to see another year of production and team first behavior before locking in a big contract and, for another team, giving up a quality draft pick or picks for the right to do so.

Could have thrown Pickens into the deal. Or Jerry should have kept them 2 first from the Packers amd gave it to the Browns for Garrett.
I wouldn’t weaken the offense to strengthen the defense, but yes, keeping those two picks to get Garrett instead of Williams would have been a possibility, but the Browns never entertained the Rams picks, not even two of them, until Verse, another pass rusher who’s younger and productive was thrown in.

I think is a good trade for the Browns. It could be good for the Rams or it could turn bad for them if Garrett gets injured just like Parsons did for the Packers.
This is a really good point, and probably why a lot of teams are hesitant to make moves like this. It's a big risk that could end very badly with just one hiccup.

I guess you have a crush on Jerry since we can’t talk about anything without you bringing him up. Javonte takes a crap? Jerry sucks. CD sneezes? It was Jerry’s fault.

Yes we can talk about football, actual football, but you and some others can’t.

Hey, the rams traded for Garrett. Stupid Jerry. The other 30 teams that didn’t get him aren’t as stupid as Jerry though. How am I doing? Is this the correct response?

Lots of teams have had GM’s as bad as Jerry over the last 30 years. They were fired by their respective teams. Many current NFL GMs will be terminated in the next 12 months. Some owners look to go in a different direction when they are not satisfied with their General Manager’s and team’s performance.

Not gonna argue there. Jerry should have fired himself a long time ago

I’m not defending Jerry. But those blanket statements just don’t work for me. A lot of luck involved and 32 teams competing against each other. Still doesn’t excuse how Jerry runs the team though.
JJ would have been fired in the 90s. As for luck running a team, yes there is a lot of luck and there is also a lot of knowledge that goes into it too. GMs depend on so many people in an organization, when they're making huge decisions, unfortunately JJ falls back on his great career at Arkansas when he's making those same decisions............LOL!

Well duh, lol. We know all about Jerry, I just don’t feel the need to bring him up in every post.
