IRVING, Texas -- Anthony Spencer's season officially came to a close Wednesday when the Dallas Cowboys decided to place the defensive end on injured reserve. To replace Spencer on the 53-man roster, the Cowboys signed cornerback Chris Greenwood off Detroit’s practice squad. Greenwood visited Valley Ranch before the 2012 draft. The Lions drafted him in the fifth round but he did not play last season because of an abdominal injury. He was among Detroit’s final cuts this year and re-signed to the practice squad.
