IRVING, Texas -- New passing game coordinator Scott Linehan this summer made play action a big point of emphasis for the Dallas Cowboys. Because the Cowboys did not run the ball enough -- or well enough -- in 2013, the play-action passing game was not much of a factor in the scheme. In Sunday’s season-opening loss to the San Francisco 49ers, DeMarco Murray averaged 5.4 yards per rush and the play action still didn’t work. According to ESPN Stats & Information, all three of Tony Romo's interceptions came on play-action passes.
