The ties TCU has in the region is more than enough to justify its membership to the 12. Throw in that they have a quality atheltic department, it makes perfect sense.

You guys should go lobby for some other conference to beg the smurfs to join. Leave the 12 out of it.

What in the world are you talking about? You are going to have to start thinking before you type. Where did I suggest the Big 12 bid to TCU wasn't justified or that it didn't make sense? You are so intent on making nonsense arguments about Boise State that you aren't even bothering to comprehend the posts you are responding too.

All I'm saying is you need to be fair. I agree the TCU bid should have occurred - I said that the day I found out Colorado and Nebraska were leaving 2 years ago. I'm just saying it's 2 faced to downgrade the Boise State football program based on arguments that are just as applicable to the TCU football program.

Apparently, he was pissed about some SMU player's comments too. Can't remember who's.

Coaches can't go on a public rampage every time a player talks smack. Patterson lost his cool, and came off as a sour-grapes whiner... at best.

I agree, if it was just a football question, Boise is every bit as worthy as TCU.

I agree with Dallas on this one....Potato St does not deserve to be in the Big 12.....They beat one top team every year and now they are world beaters? I think not.

TCU is an awesome addition. I am excited about this addition. I wish the Aggies would have stayed in the conference, but they are turn coats, so let em leave.

I wonder who else we can get to join. I do not want Louisville or West Virginia. If BYU wanted to join, I would welcome them in, though I am not overly stoked about it. As much as I hate Notre Dame, if we could somehow get them to join, that would be awesome. Not because they are any good anymore, but because they are a household name and they have the NBC network....The only other schools I can think of are SMU, Houston, Rice, or UTEP and I am not really stoked about adding any of those....well maybe Rice for academics and baseball.

Do you think TCU is an awesome addition and BYU is a so-so addition based on football or on other factors?

Wow! Did you choke on an potato once and now hate everything from Idaho? Pretty freaking sensitive!

My response was to your baseless statement that BSU would do nothing after Moore leaves by informing you that they have the highest winning percentage in the last 12 years playing the same level of competition that TCU has played.
I have stated on here that I think that BSU needs to finish expanding their stadium, improve their basketball program, their overall academic program, and start a baseball program before they make the leap into the Big 12 or Pac 12, So I agree with you on that point.
But I also think that they would be very competetive in football in the Big 12, but obviously not keep the same winning percentage, with or without Moore, as long as Peterson is steering the ship. After he turned down the head coaching jobs at Florida and Stanford I think there is a pretty good chance that he will remain at Boise and has said as much, as long as they continue to be dedicated to growth. They would also bring a very strong wrestling program to the Big XII that has won the PAC ten crown numerous times.

So I am being still, but I am hurt?

I don't get your statement. Does your lack of spell checking typically get in the way of your subject matter elsewhere or are we just that fortunate?

I am guessing the latter.

Good for TCU, they've earned their shot at the big boys. I don't think they continue their run of success, but at least they get a shot.

It won't be enough to save the conference longterm, though

TCU is great based on football, baseball, and travel.

BYU is great for football, academics, and basketball.....but the travel isn't as nice. Plus, BYU seems to want to be independent. I know they can be pursuaded, but at what cost?
