Tony Romo-to-Dez Bryant starting to show signs of life

OXNARD, Calif. -- Dez Bryant has been trying to do everything he can to get back to the form he had in 2014 -- when he led the NFL in touchdown catches -- after foot surgeries kept him from seven games last season and out of team drills in the offseason.

Friday was a sign Bryant is coming around.

Dallas Cowboys training camp, he caught a back-shoulder throw from Tony Romo near the right sideline with just his left hand. He tapped his two feet before going out of bounds, dropped the ball over his shoulder and stared into the approving crowd.

“My season ended a little bit early last year,” Bryant said. “Just getting back to doing the stuff that I love, catching the football, playing football, being out here with my teammates. Every day, it just gets better and it just feels more natural and natural and natural. I’m just excited. I’m taking it day by day and feeling good about it.”

In team and 7-on-7 drills, Bryant caught three of the five passes thrown his way. One incompletion was too long on a go route and a second was underthrown as Romo was under pressure.

No doubt in my mind that as long as Romo & Dez stay healthy they will be a lethal connection this year. Especially with our O-line and EE on the field.

This just in - practice makes perfect.

:) I still have 1/31st Bearcats on quick dial in Korea...I'll ask them.

They have recovered from Batan...

He caught a ball with one hand? And i havent seen 7 videos of it yet? Weird.

I am really hoping you're right. David Helman wrote an article about how the defense has dominated the offense so far - our defense. Zeke has yet to really break one in camp and now he's out for a week. We also didn't exactly set the world on fire at the beginning of last year although Dez was hurt in the Giants game.

Don't mind me - I'm just anxious. Romo and Dez can prove people wrong fast.

Reporters have insisted there's nothing wrong with Romo's movement or the velocity on his passes. So I will take it as a sign in the defense is playing well.

Hey take that as a glowing review of the defense actually playing well.

If our defense does play really well we will be in great shape.

However, I am sure someone will dispute the sun rises in the east, or that it even rises at all, or at least find fault with the way the sun rises....:muttley:

Im not sure why im responding to this post seriously since i have read enough of you to know your online character, but the defense has everything to improve(up to and including that they are a low level nfl calibre defense), the offense needs to get through the preseason healthy because they are proven to be elite when healthy.

Craig, I'm pretty sure you are confusing me with another Dandy Don on here. It's happened before to me before and that's not a knock on him, we have different styles. He's more aggressive and combative than I am.

Honestly, I have never had a problem with any poster and I have a history of complimentary posts except for the occasional outburst at the diminishing Romo hater crowd and overall, I'm generally upbeat and try to be self-deprecating (as I was in this post).

I wrote about the offense as an observation. I know they're going to be good and I also know the defense will be ahead of the offense early on, especially in pre-season games.

Can't wait to see the hunger in dez this season! He's gotta earn his way back to being a top 5 wr.
