IRVING, Texas – You’ve heard that refrain before from Tony Romo. Too many times. “I’ve got to perform better,” Romo said after his three picks were the primary reason the Dallas Cowboys had no chance to win the season opener against the San Francisco 49ers, “and I will.” The words might sound hollow, but Romo has a history of responding relatively well the week after his worst performances.
