Tom Jackson, along with Mike Greenberg and Sean Salibury just finished discussing the Playoff Picture. Tom Jackson was eventually asked which of the Big 4 were the most vulnerable and he said the Dallas Cowboys. Here is the recap:

TJ = Tom Jackson
MG = Mike Greenberg
SS = Sean Salisbury

TJ: every since they beat GB they have looked different

TJ: 1 yard rush yard against the Skins and I wouldn't want to have that over my head for 2 weeks

TJ: They played alot of their starters but they didn't even play

SS: I saw alot of head hanging

MG: They didn't play well

TJ: Wade waited for them to play well but they didn't play well so he had to pull them

MG: They may be without TO. But the question is will he be healthy

I just hope they stay sour on the Cowboys.

I dont want any media cheerleaders.

We will NOT lose our 1st playoff game. Book it.

I heard it too, but what are they supposed to say after that pathetic performance?

You knew ESPN was going to pile on the Cowboys.

If we are without TO that is the biggest missing piece of any of the big 4 team's puzzles. I would agree with TJ in that respect. If TO is back and contributing, I disagree and think the Colts minus Freeney and with a rusty Marvin Harrison are most vulnerable.

We aren't exactly riding into the playoffs on a high, but that being said I think we'll be fine.:starspin

This is the way it should be. I hope that we are looked down upon by everyone in the media, all the way through the play offs.

We play better when people doubt us.

I think even with a rusty Marvin Harrison, the 'boys would be more vulnerable than the Colts. The Colts are so efficient with what they do and they've been humming along without him for a significant period of time.

I think GB and Dallas are fairly equal as far as vulnerability. It's a toss up to state who is more vulnerable between them. They've both played in some clunkers these last few weeks. And you never know which Favre is going to show up.

And if we meet the Pats in the SB... I hope it gets worse.... I hope they have us down as the worst SB opponent of all time... no chance... you dont deserve to be on the field with the Mighty Pats... etc....

Dare I say it... .another Joe Namath moment..... "Romo says... oh yeah.... we are gonna beat those guys" :eek: :) :eek: :)

Maybe we'll get lucky and who ever we play 1st will sleep on us in the 1st round since we already have one foot in the grave according to all these media people.

When we get everyone back in 2 weeks and play at home its going to be great.

This is simply ESPN's Dallas hate. Jackson based this opinion on his dislike for Dallas, his misstated facts, and our last ganme in which he said we tried and failed. But in reality, that last game was a meaningless game that we went into with no gameplan other than to rest our injured and hurt players and give auditions to many backups in expanded roles. But Jacson said we played everyone and tried everyrhing we could to win, but that nothing worked when really we kept most of our playbook closed, on purpose. And we lost in bad weather no less, without practicing all week on a wet field to prepare for it. Jackson simply misstated these truths.

On top of that, when the Packers lost to the Bears in bad weather, in what was really a meaningful game where home-filed was on the line for them, the consensus aftrwards was that this was good for them moving forward. So how can Jackson say with a straight face that they are more primed than Dallas for these playoffs and be taken seriously? Please! If I need info on Dallas, I'm not looking to ESPN, and if I want opinion, I'll look anywhere but ESPN, thank you!

You mean even from a coaching perspective? Could it be that the coaches have gone basic, and don't want to do more than necessary until the play-offs?

The GB was significant in that the Cowboys had to take the division lead and wrap up home-field. They attacked Favre and put him out of the game, and then simply went soft-zone. They did what was needed.

I'm not worried about what these geniuses say. I just know, that if we field #81, and #83.. look out.

What a laugh, We did not play everyone either. We had 5 starters listed as out. We only had Glenn in their for a few snaps as well. We really didnt even get to see alot of Barber either. I cant wait for the playoffs too start so we can start asking people how the want their crow served....I like the thought of force feeding myself!:banghead:

right now it is on the coaches....as far as the offense is concerned...teams are stuffing the box because they don't think anyone other than TO is scary..and so Boy Wonder needs to find a way to move the football. Our OL is a straight ahead type run blocking unit and quite frankly, 5 cannot block 8. So Garret needs to go back to moving TO around and forcing the defense to shuffle so Crayton can find the dead spots in a zone. Because Crayton cannot beat man coverage. And I think his contract numbers back that up.

As far as the defense is concerned...Wade is going to have to mix it up more. You cannot play 7 yards off of a WR and ever expect to get off the field. We are terrible on 3rd down because we allow the WR to come off the line clean and catch the ball..then we go charging up to make the tackle and the guy wiggles by us. I know we cannot press all the time, but you have to mix it up. You cannot make these WRs better than they are. This is the NFL, all WRs can catch when they are open....so we need to get in their face and make them work a little. If this is going to be our scheme why would even consider spending another premium pick on a CB. Lots of guys could play CB in the NFL if all that was required was to "let the guy catch it"...then try to make a tackle after he has converted a 1st down. If this does not change we will not go to the Super Bowl

The only thing I will agree with about what he said was....meaningless game or not... we did try to execute on offense... and we failed.

This is so strange. Is Jacksonville getting this after getting throtttled by the Texans? Was Pitt getting it when they were down by 20 points to one of the worst teams in the leauge before a couple late scores?

You'd think we were the only playoff team that lost this weekend... Jax, Pitt, Indy, Seattle, and Tampa all did, too. And I don't imagine they looked very good doing it -- that's what happens in week 17 when everything is sewn up.

Seriously, what part of "meaningless game" and "resting starters" do these guys not understand?

Since the Packer game will be in Texas stadium, we know exactly which Favre will show up!
