Yes, Cowboys rookie wide receiver Dez Bryant has a slight hip pointer, but it's not serious enough to concern the Cowboys.

Bryant said he didn't have any treatment at Valley Ranch for the hip because it's not something that could keep him off the field.

"No, it's nothing," Bryant said. "It's just aches and pains of working out."

In fact, Bryant played in a charity basketball game on Wednesday night at a local high school. Bryant participated in OTAs twice this week, he left practice early on Tuesday because of a stomach virus.

"It's not major," Bryant's advisor David Wells said of the hip pointer. "You play through those things. Just like when he had the ankle sprain, you keep going. It's no big deal."

Bryant tweaked an ankle on the last day of the rookie minicamp earlier this month and team officials said then it was not something they were worried about, much like this hip pointer.

He didn't miss any offseason work due to the ankle and isn't expected to miss any time with the hip pointer.

The injury has surprised some, including veteran wide receiver Roy E. Williams who told Ben & Skin of 103.3 FM, "If he has a hip pointer, that's news to me. Please give me his hip pointer."

On BSPN raideo- Ben and skin this morning they were ragging on Dez that you can't trust him because he's going to charity events when "injured" and that he clearly is stupid. I wonder if Tony has said 'welcome to the Cowboys' to him yet. :laugh2:

Roy has definitely become the most quotable Cowboy. This is hilarious. :laugh2:

Roy is a great team player, you gotta love that... I hope Roy has a really good year because it will make the Cowboys that more unstoppable.

He's a beast.

We really going to have to sit through David Wells struggle for relevance this season? I'm already tired of hearing about the guy, and why Calvin Watkins thinks he's qualified to comment on Dez' hip-pointer is beyond me. My best guess is he was sitting next to him at some point during OTAs.

I guess we just have to get used to a big deal being made of every burp and fart that Dez is guilty of.
