The Cowboys are coming off their first loss of the Jason Garrett era, no matter how short it is, to the Saints, 30-27. After that loss we had some thoughts as the weekend comes to a close.

1. It might be time to start Felix Jones or Tashard Choice Sunday in Indy. Marion Barber has a strained calf and his status is uncertain.

2. This talk about Tony Romo returning is a nice little story. Of course, Romo wants to play. The competitor in him says so. But long-term will it help anything? If Garrett thinks he needs Romo to help him get the job, he's wrong.

3. The offensive line has played much better the last few weeks, but the future of it is uncertain. It starts with offensive line coach Hudson Houck and whether or not he will come back next year.

4. Dez Bryant went off on the sidelines on Thanksgiving Day. The problem with this is nobody knows what was said. Bryant hasn't spoken to the media in weeks and nobody asked Garrett or receivers coach Ray Sherman about Bryant's rant.

5. Has Garrett done enough to get the job fulltime? His 2-1 mark makes him the favorite, but Jerry Jones will do his homework and interview the right candidates and see if somebody else is better. Whoever the coach is will have to shakeup the roster and coaching staff.

If anyone really thinks Jerry is gonna hire someone other than Garrett... I dont even know what to say. Garrett is the man Jerry will hire unless we get blown out in every game remaining.

Watkins is right on this one, there's no reason for Romo to come back.

Watkins got paid for this? Talk about stealing money.

I so look forward to Romo starting again if for no other reason but to put this stupid "Romo shouldn't play again" **** to rest.

Stop worring about the draft pick. There are games to be won and other team's post season plans to spoil.

I would hope for the sake of the franchise we haven't come to this conclusion in 3 weeks.

Especially after some of the head scratching things that took place against New Orleans.

Who said anything about draft picks?

Kitna's playing more than well enough where we have no reason to bring back the franchise QB to take a shlacking behind that oline.

Call me crazy.........
but when I see a poster with 3 pet cat draft picks in his sig......
suggesting a stategy which is not optimal to winning games now........
well you know the rest.

I am talking about Draft picks...Dallas needs a bunch of them and the higher variety. They have huge holes in OL, S and lack of depth at ILB, CB, LB, DE.

Your hope is granted. ;)

It was decided years ago when Jerry paid him more to stay as OC/AHC.

He will be the Head Coach of the Dallas Cowboys for years to come.

In pass protection, but not in the running game.

The backs are averaging 3.52 ypc on the season, and 3.56 in the last three games.

No problem, you're crazy.

If my reasoning for wanting Romo to sit out the rest of the year was based in draft picks, I'd say start McGee.

He will, once he gets off the phone with his boys.

Sure. How many days til the draft?

What makes him think so? Jerry has made two good hires and four bad ones. I dont like those odds.

Ladies and gentlemen, the comedic stylings of Sonnyboy. He'll be here all night.
