ARLINGTON -- There were only two major injuries to report from the Cowboys-Commanders game.

Cornerback Mike Jenkins suffered a concussion late in the fourth quarter when he crashed into inside linebacker Bradie James on a tackle of running back Rock Cartwright. Jenkins, who is already playing with a bruised biceps injury, should have stayed down to allow the team trainers to tend to him. But Jenkins stood up and the Commanders ran a play.

Jenkins went down again, holding his head with both hands when the trainers came out and got him to walk off the field.

"I went over this last week with them and I emphasized this in a meeting and it perturbed me a little bit," coach Wade Phillips said. "But when you're hurt, stay down. The official actually went over to him and this guy said, stay down and he got up and therefore they let him run the play."

Jenkins wasn't available for comment after the game.

Quarterback Tony Romo is also hurt, he suffered a lower back bruise. After the game, Romo took a pain injection and was treated for about 45 minutes after the game.

As for the Commanders, running back Ladell Betts tore a ligament in his knee. Coach Jim Zorn said Betts will undergo an MRI on Monday.

"We've got him in a soft cast," Zorn said. "So, that's all I can tell you right now. We'll get a better evaluation after we get back."

Wow, concussion? He might be out of Thursday's game! Mannnnn! :bang2:

Oh but the tone of this board says it will be a cake walk so it wont be any big deal.

Seriously, these injuries keep growing at the wrong time.

Yea he's definately out. Good for the 'Boys that they play on Thursday and he may only miss one game but the league is really cautious about concussions this season and rightfully so. Give him the game off to get back on track. Scandrick will be more than fine.

Cowboys are lucky in the injuries department. We're going to more than likely just miss Hamlin, Jenkins and Columbo. We're lucky its only those 3.

Just please get by Oakland with a win so we can rest a few days. An Oakland loss would be a disaster.

Did they bench Bruce Gradkowski already? After they won today?

Sit Jenkins and let him heal up. Scandrick needs the friggin practice against Oakland anyways.

No, it was just as epic fail at being cocky and sarcastic.

Wow, I remember when everyone thought Scandrick was the bomb and Jenkins was a wasted 1st round pick.

It's possible that Jenkins was a bit disoriented from the concussion and that's why he didn't stay down.

As far as Oakland, the Cowboys have a history of playing like crap at home against them, but the sample size is small (3 games). It feels funny saying it, but this is a big game on Thursday. It no longer feels like a gimme.
