IRVING -- Running back Felix Jones (knee), wide receiver Roy Williams (ribs) and safety Gerald Sensabaugh (thumb) missed practice Thursday. No big deal, because those three weren't going anyway. However, it was noted that Williams and Jones ran a little bit during some individual drills.
We caught a sneak peek as we walked out of practice, Patrick Crayton and Miles Austin were the first team wide receivers.
Newly acquired returner Allen Rossum will wear No. 30.
After Wednesday's practice was conducted in pads, none were needed on Thursday under a cool, overcast day.
Noticed receiver Manuel Johnson catching kickoffs during practice. Terence Newman, who was wearing No. 2 on his jersey for some reason, Crayton, Kevin Ogletree and Rossum were fielding punts as well.
Kicker Nick Folk told me before practice that he just missed his 40 yard kick at Kansas City not because of the wind, but he hit it wrong. Folk tried to kick it down the middle, but the ball sailed toward the left.
