News: ESPN: WFT bans Native American garb from stadium

The whole thing had a bad look about it.

Hard to believe this was the fight song early on,...

Hail to the Commanders

Hail victory!

Braves on the warpath

Fight for old D.C.!

Scalp ’um, swamp ’um — We will

Take ’um big score.

Read ’um, weep ’um, touchdown,

We want heap more.

Fight on, fight on, till you have won,

Sons of Wash-ing-ton.

Rah! Rah! Rah!

Hail to the Commanders.

Hail victory!

That had to go and it did. Get as far away from all that as they can, trying to forget it ever happened a great idea.

As long as the women are still allowed to paint their faces with mascara, foundation, and makeup, it should be peaceful. If not, all heck will break loose.

Now what exactly are they going to do with Native American tattoos? What about those fools with the old Commander logo as a tattoo?

So, fans wearing shirts with Commanders logo and name is ok, but facepaint of the older and current color scheme is banned?

The tats are no problem, the team will set up tat removal stations at the stadium, a few cuts with a scapel and a bandage, and voila! Problem solved...

You know, being offended is not against the law. Just so as you are being told.

It's going to be very difficult to manage and observe the potentially endless exclusions for personal display of this type going forward. Every "group" will have a platform to claim being offended.

Will a Tribal member of society who observes the traditions of their heritage not be allowed to wear their everyday, colorful fabrics or jewelry to a WFT game? How long before rival stadiums can no longer wear "Native American Garb"? I can understand a privately owned team changing its name and identity, but to start disallowing patrons to express themselves outside the extreme is a slippery slope and unmanageable.

Indians are not to be honored. The NFL has spoken.

Yes, I'm sure the Tribes will be disappointed they are not longer being honored like:

You never heard that part about imitation is the sincerest part of flattery?

Not surprising at all for the professionally offended.
