IRVING, Texas -- With Peyton Manning setting the world on fire this season, fans across the NFL are wondering why their team didn't make more of a play for the future Hall of Fame quarterback in free agency. Many questioned whether Manning would be Manning again after he missed the 2011 season with a neck injury. Clearly he is, and perhaps he's better. He landed with the Broncos last season and posted a 13-3 record in his return to action. The Cowboys never got into the mix for Manning, but it should be noted that Manning’s agency also represents Tony Romo.
