I thought Peyton Manning was pretty good on Saturday Night Live, even though you could tell he was reading from the cards a little too much. The United Way spot was classic. But the best joke might not have been seen or heard. I pulled this from my buddy Dan Shanoff's blog. One of his readers was in the audience for SNL, and filed this:

I attended last night's SNL dress rehearsal, where Lorne Michaels decides what sketches and jokes to keep, and which to dump.

Anyway, during Peyton's monologue, Amy Poeler was dressed in a Patriots jersey and heckled Peyton, saying "What does Tom Brady and the Circus have in common? They both have two more rings than you."

Peyton stared right back and said, "That's not the ONLY thing he'll have two more of."

Ouch.

Judge Says Illinois Man Can't Change Name to Peyton Manning

Wednesday, March 28, 2007

AP

DECATUR, Ill. — A judge in Macon County said Scott Wiese of Forsyth can't change his name to Peyton Manning.

The 26-year-old man told friends that if his beloved team didn't win the Super Bowl, he'd become Peyton Manning after the Indianapolis Colts star quarterback.

Wiese calls himself a die-hard Bears fan and has said the name change represents that passion.

But Macon County Circuit Judge Katherine McCarthy said the name change is too confusing and risks infringing the privacy of the football player.

Wiese said he told the judge he wasn't changing his name because he wanted to do, but because he was honoring a bet.

Wiese said there'll be no appeal to the judge's decision.

Forsyth is about seven miles north of Decatur.

Just because Tom's into chicks and Peyton isn't is no reason to make fun of the guy.

Yeah... not for nothing.... If I made that bet and lost... I would tell the winning better to "Bug off" and get over it.....

I pay my bets(If/when I bet)... but thats going to far....
