Ken (NY)
it seems to me that over the past two weeks you are no longer a nfc south reporter but rather a saints reporter. About 80% of your articles are on the saints. Any comments
Pat Yasinskas (12:50 PM)
Yes, last week I covered the Saints game and therefore I wrote lots about the Saints. They also are one of the league's hottest teams right now, so they're a big story. I'll be covering the Falcons against Dallas this Sunday, so you'll see a healthy dose of Falcons stuff on Sunday. I can only be in one place at one time and a lot of our coverage is dictated by what teams are playing well.
Kevin (Hickory, NC)
Hey Pat. Clearly Jake has lost it as the panthers ran 15 times and passed only 1 time during the last drive against Tampa. I know that Fox is going to live or die with Jake but do you think that it is fair to say that maybe Fox is starting to realize that Jake is on a steep decline and can't really de trusted? Or was this just a product of playing against a really bad run D. Thanks.
Pat Yasinskas (12:52 PM)
I think Fox has to realize Jake's in a decline. But, right now, he's got no choice but to go with Jake. Should have made a move before the season, but didn't. If Fox is still there next year, I'm pretty sure he'll have a new QB.
Dan (Lafayette, LA)
Is going 5 straight games without trailing for even one second a NFL record?
Pat Yasinskas (12:52 PM)
Haven't been able to get an answer on that one, but I'm trying.
justin (tampa)
hey pat big fan being a hardcore bucs fan since day one i dont think i can take another year of watching a head coach and gm who are way in over their heads glazers have to admit they made a mistake and move on any head coach who plays rap music during practice and parties with the players at usf games should never be a coach in the nfl then dominik almost every move this offseason has be a huge mistake , nugent, crowell, leftwich, mccown not adding any d line help i know you keep saying they will be given another year but if they are i know i wont be watching and know alot of other people who wont be either
Pat Yasinskas (12:54 PM)
The plan is to give them another year, but that's not definite. They've got to show some progress in the second half of the season. If they go 0-16 or 1-15, there very well could be a change.
James (Atlanta Georgia)
Falcons dont recieve the CREDIT that they are a better team WHY?
Pat Yasinskas (12:55 PM)
I think the Falcons get plenty of credit. They're widely recognized as being a very good team.
Nathan (Cary, NC)
Do you still think Matt Moore is worse than Delhomme? Even after the Tampa game?
Pat Yasinskas (12:56 PM)
Yes, I think you'll only see Moore if Delhomme and Feeley are injured.
Steve Smith (Charlotte, NC)
Do you see Jeff Davidson creating opportunities for me to be open this weekend?
Pat Yasinskas (12:56 PM)
I would think so. I don't think Jeff wants to face you if you have another one-catch game!
Paul (Knoxville,TN)
I just wanna say to all the Saints fans...DONT eat the cheese yet!...yeah its nice driving to work this week being 5-0...but the next 3 games (especially vs. Atl) is going to tell us what we are. As Saints fans...we're always cautiously optimistic..so lets not forget how easy it can all change...(remember 2002)...that being said...we need to mail our brown bags to Nashville.....nuff said
Pat Yasinskas (12:57 PM)
Just sharing with all the Saints fans.
Eric (Raleigh)
Pat,What are the chances that the Panthers deal Steve Smith or Peppers this offseason? I am assuming they will tag Peppers again so they can get something out of him. I would be pretty disappointed if they dealt Steve. It isn't his fault that Davidson and Delhomme set back the passing game 50 years.
Pat Yasinskas (12:57 PM)
It's really going to depend on who's running the show in Carolina next year.
Dylan (Todd)
Do you see any light at the end of the tunnel for the BUCs either this year or next? be honest.
Pat Yasinskas (12:58 PM)
Haven't really seen any so far. Think you'll see Freeman soon. Maybe that creates a spark or maybe it doesn't.
Jeff (Baton Rouge)
To Ken in NY, I don't remeber Pat writing that many articles about the Saints the past two years, when the Saints were an average football team. Can you see where I'm going?
Pat Yasinskas (12:59 PM)
Exactly.
Patrick (Atlanta)
Don't know what James is talking about, we're top 5-7 in every power poll, and most folks are picking us IN Dallas. What more do you want?
Pat Yasinskas (12:59 PM)
Thank you.
J.B. (Dunmore, PA)
Hey Pat, I'll be missing your chat again today due to some personal business. Just wanted to give you a heads up for imposters as I seem to have many on the message boards these days. Bucks have the rival Valley View Cougars this week. After an emotional OT win over Scranton Prep last week to keep the unbeaten season alive, this could be a good one. Take care.
Pat Yasinskas (1:00 PM)
Best of luck to the Dunmore Bucks. Has my alma mater, Lackawanna Trail, won a game yet? I know they got off to a tough start. Haven't checked on them lately.
Brett (Atlanta)
Pat, why do I have a bad feeling about the Saints game this week? Miami is a very physical team that should be fresh coming off a bye. The Saints just came off a big emotional win, and have the Falcons next week on Monday night in an abviously huge game. Just seems like a bad spot to me. Tell me I'm worrying for nothing.
Pat Yasinskas (1:02 PM)
Think it's a tough game, no doubt. But the most encouraging thing I can tell you is that these aren't the same old Saints.
ByHenSr (Metairie)
Do you really believe the Bucs will go 0-16 this year?
Pat Yasinskas (1:03 PM)
No. I think they'll win a couple. But they do have the potential to go 0-16.
Sharell (NCFalconFan)
Falcons keep Anderson as DT? I thought he looked good in the Chicago game. You are right more credit needs to go to our DC.
Pat Yasinskas (1:04 PM)
Take a look over on the blog. I just posted a whole big column on Falcons coaching staff, including VanGorder. Yep, Anderson stays at DT.
Greg (Tampa)
Who will be the 1st back in TB with a 100 Yard Game? Caddy or D Ward?
Pat Yasinskas (1:04 PM)
Caddy.
Paul (Knoxville)
Pat...it seems like the Shockey trade is looking more and more like the Saints did pretty well....ur thoughts??
Pat Yasinskas (1:05 PM)
Yep, it's looking like a very good move now. That's why things shouldn't always be judged so quickly.
JRozz (Tampa)
Pat you honestly think Freeman is going to produce a spark? How he will be overwhelmed with the coverages and blitzs any team he starts against will throw at him?He looked bad in preseason and struggled in college i just dont see where you see this kid making a defference at all? Please elaborate on your theory.
Pat Yasinskas (1:06 PM)
Can't judge him until you see him. Preseason didn't mean anything. Maybe the guy will flop, but don't call him a flop until he's played. He has enormous physical talent.
John (Atlanta)
Heard anything today about Ovie or Norwood? How's Moore coming along? Heard he injured his hamstring on Sunday, time to worry about him being injury prone?
Pat Yasinskas (1:07 PM)
Don't think you'll see Ovie or Norwood this week. Get ready for lots of Jason Snelling.
K.P. (Atlanta)
Hey Pat When are you going to do a story on Arthur Blank and how he turned this Falcon tEAM AROUND and also his thought on the new STADIUM.
Pat Yasinskas (1:07 PM)
Good idea. I'll see what I can do.
CJ (Spring)
Seriously, What's the word on The Asian Assassin?(Fujita)
Pat Yasinskas (1:08 PM)
Don't think you'll see him this week. Looks like Troy Evans will start.
Greg (Tampa)
Will the league discipline Talib this year or next?
Pat Yasinskas (1:09 PM)
Not certain. Depends on how legal issues play out. But my guess is it will be this year.
Mike (SebaSaint) (River Ridge)
What in your opinion was the best offseason move by the Saints: Greg Williams, Jabari Greer, Darren Sharper, Focus on the run game?
Pat Yasinskas (1:10 PM)
Williams would be my choice. But you can make a good case for any of those options.
JRozz (Tampa)
Lmao Pat can you name one QB that has been a winner in the NFL that struggled to read defense's and coverages because he has physical talent? He reminds me of JaMarcus Russell.Anyone can tell the Bucs will take a giant leap backwards with a rookie at QB
Pat Yasinskas (1:11 PM)
Oh, like they've taken a giant leap forward with Josh Johnson???
Ronnie (Greensboro,NC)
Hey Pat, Im gonna have to disagree with you about Jake being on a decline. Yeah, he hasn't played well to start the year, but if you look @ our Super Bowl year, he didn't play that great during the regular season either. I think Jake is goin to bounce back!!
Pat Yasinskas (1:12 PM)
Wow, you might be the first person I've heard say Jake is not in decline.
Bill (Laplace, LA)
Pat, do you not make predictions to avoid offending those who take this way to seriously, or to remain as unbiased as possible? And will you be in N.O. next Monday night for N.O.-Atl
Pat Yasinskas (1:13 PM)
Basically, my feeling is we have more than enough other people making predictions and, yes, I want to remain unbiased. Besides, what do predictions mean. Yes, I'll be doing the Monday night game with Atlanta and New Orleans.
Henry (UNC)
What's going on with Thomas Davis??? I heard he was not practicing lately. If he can't go, how much does the defense suffer???
Pat Yasinskas (1:14 PM)
He didn't practice yesterday. Haven't heard today's update yet. If he's out, there's a big drop off. Davis has been best player on that D this year.
John (Atlanta)
How's William Moore coming along? Heard he injured his hamstring on Sunday, time to worry about him being injury prone?
Pat Yasinskas (1:15 PM)
Won't have update on Moore's injury until later today. But, yeah, so far he's shown a history of getting hurt and that's a concern.
Anthony (California)
do you think Steve Smith's performance last week was more to blame on steve, delhomme, talib, or john fox. talib can be very good at times but gets burned all the time. even by jordy nelson. i was suprised they didn't take more shots his way in the game
Pat Yasinskas (1:16 PM)
Wasn't Steve's fault. Blame Fox, Delhomme and Davidson. Also, they don't have any other receiving threats. And give Talib some credit for doing a good job.
Jake Delhomme (Charlotte)
Hey Pat, it's been awhile. I know Im not playing my best right now, but Im a stong guy, you know that. Im gonna bounce back, I've had to bounce back my entire career, From not getting drafted, to playing in the NFL Europe, to getting cut by the Saints a million times. This week, Im back.
Pat Yasinskas (1:17 PM)
I hope you're right.
Sharell (NCFalconFan)
Just read your article. I loved the fact that Smith bought in college coaches because the team is so young. Very smart. I also love him on the sidelines. He gets fired up!!
Pat Yasinskas (1:19 PM)
Yep, point of that story was that the Falcons have assembled a great coaching staff. I'd say it's best in the league and I'm talking overall staff. I know you can't compare Smith to Belichick or some of the other veterans. But I think Smith's stable of assistants is outstanding.
J.D. (N.C.)
Hey Pat, are you surprised there wasn't more movement at the trade deadline, especially by teams like the Bucs? For example, seems that a guy like Ronde Barber could have fetched a decent draft choice from a team looking for help in the secondary...
Pat Yasinskas (1:20 PM)
Not really. Trade deadline in NFL is way overrated. It's not like baseball, where there are trades all the time. NFL just doesn't have a lot of trades.
Mike (New Orleans)
Pat, what are the rules regarding signing a player from another teams practice squad? does that player have to be traded for?
Pat Yasinskas (1:20 PM)
No trade. You can sign a player off another practice squad as long as you put him straight on to your 53-man roster.
drew brees (kenner, la)
Heypat. Which maimi DB should I look to expose this week.
Pat Yasinskas (1:21 PM)
All of them, as you usually do.
John (NOLA)
why won't the Saints pick up Brooks? He's got to be a better LB than troy evans and scott schanle? If they pick him up to sub in for Fujita, do you think he will end up taking Shanle's spot?
Pat Yasinskas (1:22 PM)
If they were going to sign Brooks, it would have happened by now. They worked him out months ago and I'm guessing they decided he didn't have anything left.
Ozzie (Atlanta, GA)
What grade would you give the Saints and the Falcons as far as representing the NFC South? The other teams are bad but they are competing each week. I think we can compete with Vikings, Eagles and Giants. NFC West doesn't really matter.
Pat Yasinskas (1:23 PM)
Right now, I'd give the Saints an A+ and Falcons an A-. Falcons only loss was at New England -- no shame in that.
Sharell (NCFalconFan)
Panther fans let it go. After this season, Delhomme will be a 2nd string QB!!!
Pat Yasinskas (1:23 PM)
Not sure he'll even be a No. 2.
Brian (Urbandale, IA)
If Jamaal Anderson keeps playing as well inside at DT the rest of the year (still plenty of season left), is there any way the Falcons can keep him on the roster with his DE salary cap number? I'd like them to find a way to keep him, even as Jerry comes back next year for the overall depth in the D line rotation.
Pat Yasinskas (1:24 PM)
They might have to restructure that deal, but I think they want to keep him as a DT.
Vance (Greensboro,NC)
I believe i sent this in your mailbag, but anyway, Im very impressed with how the Panthers Defense has improved each week. they are close to breaking the top 10 and are already 2nd against the pass (best in South). and the only argument against it is our opponents, i then direct everyone to the Saints.
Pat Yasinskas (1:25 PM)
Yeah, but I think the No. 2 ranking against the pass is a bit misleading. First three opponents didn't have to throw because they got ahead. And the Bucs couldn't throw.
Ravi (Atlanta)
"Look at what offensive line coach Paul Boudreau has done with a group that includes only one blue-chip player (left tackle Sam Baker)" Pat - You're killing Falcons fans by constantly arguing that the Falcons O-Line has less talent than other O-Lines. Just because some of these guys were drafted low doesn't mean they aren't talented, just that they did poorly at the combine and in draft evaluation. No one would argue that Tom Brady lacks talent just because he was a sixth round pick. Then why do you make that same argument for a Falcons O-Line that has constantly outplayed its competition? Hard work only takes you so far. Its time to acknowledge that these guys have innate ability, or you will be making it harder for them to get the accolades they deserve (Pro Bowl, etc.)
Pat Yasinskas (1:27 PM)
You think Dahl and Clabo are that talented? I mean what I wrote as a compliment. I think Boudreau does a great job with what he's got.
Jason (Dayton, Ohio)
Why haven't the Bucs signed Ruud to a long-term extension yet?
Pat Yasinskas (1:28 PM)
Think they're waiting to see if he steps up. Guy was very good last year, but I haven't seen that much out of him this year.
Chad (Las Vegas)
Who has ATL played that was any good. The best team they've played was NE, when Brady wasn't in game shape, and lost. Other than that the Bears are the best team they've played and the Bears are Mediocre.
Pat Yasinskas (1:29 PM)
Niners weren't bad. And that was a game where Falcons had to travel cross country.
Sean Payton (Metairie, LA)
Pat, we ain't signing Derrick Brooks because we ain't fixin' something that ain't broke.
Pat Yasinskas (1:29 PM)
Excellent point. Thanks for taking time out of your busy schedule, Coach.
Nary (Whodatville)
What's with all the Shanle hate? Dude has been money.
Pat Yasinskas (1:30 PM)
I'm with you. Shanle's solid.
Chad (Las Vegas)
What is Sean Payton doing in Metairie? Hasn't he left for Miami yet?
Pat Yasinskas (1:30 PM)
Team plane doesn't leave until Saturday.
Steve (NY)
Pat, what's with answering all of the questions from southern states? How do you think the Bears will exploit Odom's absence in Cinci?
Pat Yasinskas (1:31 PM)
Um, well, this is an NFC South chat.
Nary (Whodatville)
Will Lance Moore get a big fat contract? He is our Wes Welker.
Pat Yasinskas (1:32 PM)
Yes, I think Moore has shown he's a valuable guy to have around.
Sharell (NCFalconFan)
Calm down RAVI...Do you remeber the O-line beofre Boudreau? You might can contribute that to Vick, but Vick was 2nd to Carr in sacks!!
Randy (Rock Hill)
Do you think the Panthers are more likely to draft a QB next year or try to go out and get one?
Pat Yasinskas (1:33 PM)
Free agent if Fox and Hurney are still there. They believe it takes too long to draft a QB and develop him.
Brain VanGorder (Atlanta Ga)
Pat do you see coach Smith taking over play calling duty from me? I got lucky the last couple of weeks, but I still suck at calling plays
Pat Yasinskas (1:35 PM)
Not a chance. I've talked to Smith about some head coaches calling defensive plays and he's strongly opposed to that. He believes that's the coordinator's job.
Mike (new orleans)
Pat, if a player is inactive (but not injured) does he go to the practice squad or is he still considered on the 53 man roster? (such as the Adalius Thomas situation in NE)
Pat Yasinskas (1:36 PM)
53 man roster. If a guy goes out for the year, they put him on injured reserve and that frees up a roster spot.
Sam (Apex, NC)
FYI Trent Edwards officially ruled out for Panthers game
Pat Yasinskas (1:37 PM)
Thanks for the update.
JRozz (Tampa)
Pat Rudd has 58 tackles on the year what else can he do?Play d tackle
Pat Yasinskas (1:38 PM)
Make some plays. Show he can do something special. Show he's a leader.
Jay (Atlanta Georgia)
Pat...If Mike MUlarkey Get a Head Coaching Job Who is the ideal fit to take over As Offensive Coordinator
Pat Yasinskas (1:39 PM)
Bill Musgrave.
Nathan (Cary, NC)
I don't get why you are so down on Fox and Hurney. Yes, they kept Delhomme, but who could have seen a drop-off like Delhomme has gone through. They have drafted very well, they have put together some great teams, and they have brought the Panthers from being a whipping boy to a perennial contender. What do they have to do?
Pat Yasinskas (1:40 PM)
Be better than 2-3 team and have back-to-back winning seasons for the first time.
Rammy (Atlanta GA)
How come Curtis Lofton doesn't get much credit? Isn't he one of the top tacklers at his position? He has major impact plays for us as well and I don't see him get any recognition around the league.
Pat Yasinskas (1:41 PM)
I think that's starting to come and will continue if he keeps doing what he's doing and Falcons keep winning.
Coach Raheem Morris (Tampa)
Pat should I fire my DC?
Pat Yasinskas (1:41 PM)
No, he's the best coach on your staff.
Ian (Charlottesville, VA)
Pat, I used to love your Observer columns. Do you think there is any way for the Panthers to salvage their season? Any hope? It just seems like they have too much talent to go 7-9 or even 8-8.
Pat Yasinskas (1:42 PM)
Haven't seen a lot of positives. But they've got a chance to get to 3-3 and have a three-game winning streak. You do that and you've got momentum that can change things. Plus, you're right, there still is a lot of talent on this team. And Fox can coach, too. We'll see what happens.
Greg (Tampa)
Rudd's tackles are all 5 yards or more up field. HE needs to get them at the line JRozz.
Pat Yasinskas (1:42 PM)
Yep.
Larry M (Athens, GA)
Pat, I'm a Falcons fan and enjoyed the article on the coaching staff. I'm not sure if I can agree with you that they have the best coaching staff in the NFL - but what about the best coaching staff suited to their team/players, the best fit?
Pat Yasinskas (1:43 PM)
Definitely a very good fit.
james (los angeles)
hey pat, im a rare tampa fan here on the west coast, but id like to tell all the other bucs fans to be patient. although the bucs are losing they do have a nice nucleus to build around. barrett ruud is possibly the best mlb in the league, roy millers more of a beast in his 1st season then sapp was (yes i said it), aqib talibs the next champ bailey, tanards a beast, and although he hasnt played in the regular season yet kyle moore was making lots of big time plays in the pre-season.........................and we have 10 draft picks so far not including the compensatory picks. we may be losing now, but we have everything set up to be a quick turn around team. GO BUCS!!!!!!!
Pat Yasinskas (1:45 PM)
Wow, a Bucs fan with patience!
Chad (Las Vegas)
NFC South Offensive, Defensive, and Overall MVP along with Coach of the Year so far?
Pat Yasinskas (1:45 PM)
Offensive -- Brees.Defensive -- Sharper.Coach -- Payton.Overall MVP -- Brees.
Tim (( Shreveport,LA ))
any way of knowing what players are up for FA after this season for the saints? kinda like to hold this team together for awhile.
Pat Yasinskas (1:47 PM)
I'll post lists of FAs for every team as we get closer to end of the season.
Lloyd (Baton Rouge, LA)
Hey Pat did you get my message that a group of us NFC South readers have renamed the NFC East the NFC Least and the NFC South the NFC Stout?
Pat Yasinskas (1:48 PM)
I like it.
Barrett Ruud (Tampa)
Well, if my tackles are all 5 yards down field, doesn't that mean our d-line needs to get better?
Pat Yasinskas (1:49 PM)
You've got a point there.
Will (Athens)
What do you think about the falcons picking up Galloway? I think he'd be good in ATL
Pat Yasinskas (1:49 PM)
They don't need him at this point in his career. Booker and Finneran are fine.
Marques Fuller (Reno, NV)
Pat, Drew Brees is given credit for his instintiveness, Sean Payton with his improved overall coaching, and Greeg Williams with his "G-Fence". How much credit should Bill Johnson (DL Coach) get for his work?
Pat Yasinskas (1:51 PM)
Excellent point. Bill Johnson has made a big impact. He's got Grant and Smith playing like they should and that's a huge plus.
Richard (Ann Arbor)
Doesn't the list of FAs for this season depend on the status of the collective barganing agreement?
Pat Yasinskas (1:51 PM)
Yes. We'll see if they can get something done, but I don't think it'll happen anytime soon.
Tag (Atl)
Pat, Atlanta has to face Chicago, Dallas, NY Giants, and Washington all coming off their byes and getting the extra rest/preparation (while half the league faces zero teams with extra prep)... Is this an unfair inequity that should be addressed, or is it no big deal?
Pat Yasinskas (1:52 PM)
Well, it's not real fair. But NFL scheduling can be quirky. Rich McKay's on the competition committee. I'm sure he's had a few words to say about Falcons getting so many teams coming off byes.
Lloyd (Baton Rouge, LA)
Pat, you seem to be really high on Atlanta and their draft picks. Do you see a big problem with what the Saints did with their draft picks this past year -- I'm talking mainly about the Vilma and Shockey trades?
Pat Yasinskas (1:54 PM)
No, can't argue with Vilma and Shockey trades. They've worked out. Morstead pick also has worked out. I think Jenkins will be a player. I also liked the two kids that got hurt and they could help in the future.
John ((NY by way of Tampa))
Hearing a lot of bad buzz that Freeman's work ethic and focus, like past Bucs QBs like Dilfer and King, leaves much to be desired. Thoughts?
Pat Yasinskas (1:55 PM)
I know those rumors are out there, but don't know where I'm coming from. People I talk to with the Bucs don't see any problem with his work ethic.
Jason (NC)
Hey Pat do you think that the trades Carolina have made can shore up there D-line.
Pat Yasinskas (1:56 PM)
I think the Tank trade will help. He's a step up from what they had.
Walter (Boone, NC)
Do you see Julius Peppers in Carolina next season? Maybe longer?
Pat Yasinskas (1:56 PM)
Just a guess at this point, but I think he'll move on.
Marques (Reno, NV)
Pat, I think the Saints finally realize the Reggie Bush is most effective in space and not limited to just being a RB. Do you think it's possible that he could move to WR in the future?
Pat Yasinskas (1:57 PM)
Not sure they'd make him a full-time WR, but I could see him lining up there more often.
John ((NY by way of Tampa))
Thanks Pat, you are a scholar and a gentleman!
Pat Yasinskas (1:57 PM)
You might be giving me too much credit on both counts.
eric (atlanta)
when you are on injured reserve can you still practice with the team if healthy enough?
Pat Yasinskas (1:58 PM)
Nope. In fact, those guys can't even go out on the field to watch prctice.
Jason (Tampa)
My guess would be that Freeman makes his 1st start after the bye against GB, but why not go ahead and start him now to have film to critique/build off of during the bye to provide more quality preparation???
Pat Yasinskas (1:59 PM)
Mainly because they don't want the Patriots to destroy him. I think the plan all along was to get past this game before playing Freeman. Couple more questions.
Shelby (WM, LA)
The player that nobody is talking about is Roman Harper. He is the team lead in tackles and the Fumble last week was huge. Has sharper made him that much better, or is it just maturity?
Pat Yasinskas (2:01 PM)
Glad you brought that up. I said last year I thought Harper could be a good player and a lot of fans disagreed. I think the real difference is the improved play at CB. Harper now doesn't get hung out in deep coverage, which is not his strength. He's at his best playing what's in front of him and I think he's become a very solid player.
Dan (Lafayette, LA)
If you don't answer the question about 5 straight games without trailing is a NFL record here, please make a blog post about it. I have a curious mind.
Pat Yasinskas (2:02 PM)
Will do. I'm trying to get our research people to run that down.
Andrew (Atlanta)
Loved the article on Mike Smith and the coaching staff. Probably the biggest reason I trust this team in the long run.So, Wwich Falcon covers Miles Austin? Don't like the undersized Falcons' secondary, especially Brent Grimes. Nothing against Grimey, but I can see Romo exploiting the matchup. Also, how do you think Keith Brooking does against his former team, especially the new Tony G?
Pat Yasinskas (2:03 PM)
I'd guess Houston on Austin.
Mike (SebaSaint) (River Ridge)
Saints 2009 ProBowlersrew BreesMarques ColstonJahri EvansJermon BushrodDarren SharperJonathan VilmaAgree or not?
Pat Yasinskas (2:05 PM)
All except for Bushrod. He's doing a nice job, but there are a lot of other good tackles out there with bigger names. Actually, I'll add one name to your list -- Carl Nicks. Saints have two guards with Pro Bowl talent. All right, I'm past my time to sign off. Thanks to all for stopping by. See you next week.
it seems to me that over the past two weeks you are no longer a nfc south reporter but rather a saints reporter. About 80% of your articles are on the saints. Any comments

Haven't been able to get an answer on that one, but I'm trying.

hey pat big fan being a hardcore bucs fan since day one i dont think i can take another year of watching a head coach and gm who are way in over their heads glazers have to admit they made a mistake and move on any head coach who plays rap music during practice and parties with the players at usf games should never be a coach in the nfl then dominik almost every move this offseason has be a huge mistake , nugent, crowell, leftwich, mccown not adding any d line help i know you keep saying they will be given another year but if they are i know i wont be watching and know alot of other people who wont be either
