*The starters will play close to a half, according to Wade Phillips. “We may substitute certain guys, but we’re looking at the first half probably,” he said.

*Receiver Jesse Holley (hamstring) is expected to play. Safety Pat Watkins will not play.

*Tight end Martin Rucker, who was signed yesterday, did rehab drills on the other field. Phillips said he expects Rucker to practice Monday.

*Robert Brewster will start at right tackle, but Sam Young could also see time there with the first unit.

Surprised the starters are going to play a half in this one. It's almost like this one is being treated as a dress rehearsal. I would have thought this would have been a game to determine the bubble players, with Houston being the warm-up game for the 1's.

Probably because we play Houston in the regular season.

It is crazy to play starters for the first half in pre-season.

Romo should play two series and rest. Same with Free.
